They look good, just not something I'm interested in. Now if they were doing Old West that would get my attention. Although it looks like a couple of those would look just fine showing up in an Old West town (the periods overlap quite a bit).

I've got the rulebook and some box sets for this (they were going cheap a few places and got them half off) and it's kind of surprising they're doing a kickstarter for this as I didn't think it was selling well (thus the cheap prices).

The game itself is not an standard wargame but one that's probably closer to necromunda. They really expect you to play with lots of scenery, not just terrain, and everything is a point based system that you earn via playing. So if one of your models dies you basically have to replace them with a weaker model.

I'm not sure about this one yet. I want to support the Drake project when that hits and I think that will be it until the next Reaper project shows up. Over the past 8 months I've supported 16 KS miniatures projects and (all at a pretty juicy pledge level), and 4 Indiegogo project. One and a half have delivered so I have the projects from 18 1/2 projects to come with the smallest pledge delivering in excess of 30 minis. Enough is enough.

As for miniatures games. I don't play any, I'm purely in for the figures, so that I can add to the three great mounds of metal, resin and plastic rising from my house towards the stars.

Their Victorian zombies are great models and so are some of their other undead. If you can get a good deal on those I'd suggest doing so as I haven't seen others with as good of quality as their zombies.

everything else is a harder sell as it's pretty generic. You can already see another thing here on these boards that have models that are really similar to half of what you'll find in Empire of the Dead.

I love what this company did with Secrets of the Third Reich and have been wanting to get this game for some time.

I love Victorian era models. I'm really concerned about how much money I will end up spending on this project.

As for whether the system has been doing well, I'm going to relate it to SOTR. This game was on a slow burn for years. I only found it because I was looking for a minature game with a WW2 theme that also included the supernatural (I don't like game that are too historically "real"). The rule set is fantastic and it has been gaining popularity in Europe and they are hoping to start making inroads in North America. I'm hoping Empire of the Dead will follow the same path.

West Wind Production is a very small company that has shown comitment to their game vision for a number of years. There is definite passion there and the the owners take the time to respond to e-mails and send you extra stuff to help you get as excited about their games as they are.

I hope that, if you are interested in Victorian Steampunk, you will check out this skirmish game.
