from the comments section sounds like they're planning on doing another kickstarter...tho not sure if it will be this or one of their other lines.

I hope its for EoD tho I hope to get enough painted to play a few games before the next kickstarter heh

From what I've seen on Facebook it's for their Alternate History WW2 game next. Though it was about 4-6 weeks ago that Andy mentioned that so maybe it's changed.

Here's the post from September 8th:

Lots of people have been asking about SOTR II. Way back at the beginning of the year I posted a schedule of what we were hoping to achieve this year.

1 EoTD Requiem KIckstarter . Done this its shipping out right now

2 Forged in Battle Ancient Warfare Miniatures. This is the next project up and is comprised of a large range of 15/18mm Ancients. Good news is its nearly ready to go.

3 SoTR II. T...his is well underway, we have masters of USMC and Japan doll kits at the moment so no I cant show you anything apart from a pile of bits weapons heads etc. I can give a few hints of what to expect, USMC Hellcat Drop armour, USMC Air Landing Brigade, Sea Bees beach head mech (not cb's) and hopefully a USMC light mech. Japan Heavy mech, light mech, lots of weird stuff like demons and mutagen troopers as well as all the regular troops.

Please be patient, EoTD was a big success for us and it grew in size due to kickstarter, it took twice the time to complete than we had originally estimated. This is good but it is frustrating for people waiting for SoTR II. Frustrating for us also as we want to get on with it, but we have to stick to the plan.

Thanks to everyone who supported us through the Kickstarter for EoTD and the Incursion Kickstarter from Grindhouse Games. I have been keeping up with the comments on the Incursion Kickstarter and I can see that people really love SoTR and are keen for us to get on with it and we will.

Expect the SoTRII Kickstarter early 2014........

Regards Andy Cooper, West Wind

I would expect something from #2 on Andy's list quite soon...

Dan got his EOTD minis in last week and he says they are as nice as they looked in the previews. I can't wait to get mine!

I hope they change their minds and do the SOTR (Secrets of the Third Reich) KS next. It is an alternate WW2 game where you have all sorts of paranormal fun along with the regular troops. Though there are some issues with the wording in the rulebooks, it is a solid game that my gaming club uses as a "go to" system for even regular WW2 minis games.

SOTR II is still planned for early 2014, last I heard.

Which I'm happy with, as it looks awesome, and it will give me some time help my poor CC recover from the beating Bones II is giving it.

Also, I don't think Andy is where he wants to be with the SOTR stuff before starting it's KS. With it being so big for them I imagine he wants as much nailed down (rules and unit wise) as he can before the launch.

I'm honestly amazed they didn't just take a few months to not do anything after EOTD. It was much bigger than they though, and they've had some other stuff (not my place to say more than that) going on that likely made the KS stuff the least stressful part of their days.

For sure. We sometimes forget how small these companies are. As a business owner, I totally understand that too much success too quickly can kill a company just as easily as poor sales.

Andy and Wendy seem to have a good grasp on their resources for their company and I'm sure that SOTR will bill a huge success when they are ready.

Didn't have room to spread them out last night. Opened the box in my study, which is small and overcrowded. The room in the basement, where I took my Bones pics, is still full of tools and construction crap from renovating the bathroom. Actually my task for tonight is to clean that up so we can put the new (to us) table I'll be using for gaming down there. If I get that all done maybe I can get a pic before I figure out where to store them while I paint them. Too many kickstarters fulfilling lately...I'm out of storage.

Think I'll start with a Bobby while I try to figure out how to put the steam exoskeleton together....

jasper I'm in the same boat..I feel abit overwhelmed I got the bones shipment then the Blackwater Gulch then the EotD all in short order...plus all the Flames of War and Hordes stuff i've bought while waiting for the kickstarter stuff to arrive!

In my head everything was gonna be spaced out by many months...not so much IRL LOL

Starting with Bobbies sounds like a plan..I figured I was gonna paint up all the figures I'd need to do the intro game pdf scenerio(Zombie Holmes and Watson, Jack the Ripper, Bobbies and some civilians)

I need to figure out some Terrain for this..I got the medieval Village Kickstarter set that will do for a countryside village setting but not sure about a more Victorian London Board..I might have to resort to some Paper Craft 15mm WWII buildings unscaled to 28mm size.

Hope you get a shipping notice soon MonkeySloth, I can't wait to see more of their figures painted up by everyone. :)

Ok, you ask for pictures, you get pictures. You probably should have asked for good pictures....

So, just an FYI. I ordered a lot of stuff to begin with, especially the steampunk stuff. Then, when we were able, I added some extra stuff. Then later, when they added the big bases, I ordered even more stuff. I may have a problem.

Boxes.JPG

My large box contained 4 smaller boxes, and some cases (I'd forgot I'd ordered those...surprise!)

Piles.JPG

Those boxes contained all this. Yes those are bases. A whole lot of bases.

I think I ended up with all the factions...why did I buy some many hansom cabs?

This is going to take a while...

Bobbies.JPG

Starting with the Bobbies.

First_victim.JPG

Specifically this guy.

Sorry for the blurry pics. Phone and bad lighting.
