If it was on a nice clean display surface, people would instantly complain about the 'lack of a base'. But I bet this base doesn't even raise an eyebrow most place without disestablishmentarian elements lurking about.

Not so much lurking as fomenting. But you know what I mean.

Awesome carriage though and I want one for an Abigail diorama now.

Forgive my ignorance, but Abigail who?

As I mentioned, I'd like to get one and paint it up to fit in the Old World for some WFRP gaming. So basing would be done to look like a well-travelled, muddy road, and preferably the driver would be replaced with a blunderbuss-armed yokel with a leather skull cap. Anyone know of such a mini?

Now look here you colonial upstarts, Great Britain also has it's share of scrubland, and I reserve the right to keep it.

Are you sure about that? I heard you guys cobblestoned the entire island in the late 19th century; please check out your window again.

Can't tell because of the ever present fog. We've definately still got some moors though.

It would look so much nicer on a clean cobblestone base, not to mention setting a better scene. Otherwise, that carriage is lovely!

Cobble stone ? yep that sounds good

Clean ?, no not if we want authentic, there were a million, billion, trillion horses trotting about and the streets were a horrible, horrible place

See the youtube audio in the post that follows that quote. Abigail LaFey, who was first born dead on the 7th day of July, 1777. One of the great metal albums of the 80s.

Are there any modelling supplies specifically for creating horse dung? Perhaps just cover a base in realistic water mixed with a brown wash to get the whole 'streets flooded with crap' theme going? ::P:

BTW, I was eyeing these bases from my favorite supplier; do you think they would look good for Victorian stuff or are they too modern looking?
