I find this kickstarter a little confusing, maybe someone can help clarify.

Everything listed as a Stretch Goal is a freebie if you back at a Requiem level? And is that the only way to get those particular minis?

I can't for the life of me figure out when locked minis get unlocked. I don't mean items like the Steam-Gyrocopter, it's listed at 62k and seems straight forward. But for instance set 6, Vampire Slayers, 3 are locked and 4 are unlocked, I don't see anywhere indicating when they would be unlocked. Then there are individuals, I really want to see and will almost for sure get Nemo, but I have no idea when he unlocks. I think I found my own answer, looking back through early updates before I started backing, I see a reference to daily unlocks. Since there are 6 of these left and 7 days left, I guess that is the answer. Probably made perfect sense to early backers, I came on pretty late in the project.

The freebies in the stretch goals are the Limited Edition miniatures. They are only available in the Kickstarter.

Any stretch goal with a price, like the coaches, Steam velocipede mechana-bat etc are not included.

So far these are: Tatu, Jade Dragon, Aisha Werewolf Huntress, Red daughter of the goddess, Iron Head Ned, Dethlocke Bones & the bad doctor.

White Rabbit, Tom Gaunt, Weapon/head sprue, Great Uncle 'Thulhu, Raphael and The Phantom will be added if the stretch goals are reached.

You are right about the 'locked' figures as well. They are unlocking the art for each one a day, they are all available to include in a pledge. To be honest it was a bit of a silly idea as they've not been on the ball with some of the updates resulting in days where three or four were unlocked to catch up from missed days. I think they wanted something to entice people to check every day but it ended up a bit messy and confusing.

I agree. The daily updates of concept art where fun and exciting in the first week or so, but after that I kind of lost interest. Luckily, they started bringing out a lot of other cool stuff shortly after that, with the roadmap etc. I think they might as well just reveal all the concept art for the 79 initial minis right away at this point.

If I have one criticism of the project, it's that Andy has failed to engage with the backers. The updates are frequent but there has been no flexibility in terms of pledge types or what's being presented.

In one sense this is good, he's running his business and his project the way he wants too. On the down side I'm sure it's contributed to the project stagnating badly in the middle stretch.

Yeah, perhaps you're right. It does seem to be somewhat stalled now as well, I think it's especially the number of new backers that has been quite slow on the increase. We'll see how it does in the last week now.

I liked the general layout of this KS from the outset, the system with the pledge points was nice and intuitive, but as more stuff was added it became slightly more confusing than necessary I think. Perhaps they should have just gone all in with the pledge point system, and have all the new stuff added to this framework as well. The Bedlam Brotherhood, The Clickers, Hell Division etc. could just have been added as sets for a given amount of pledge points, just like The Order of the Dragon and Vampire Slayers, for example, and the vehicles could also have had a pledge point cost instead of being add-ons for £20. This could have been combined with some very flexible pledge levels, perhaps just levels at £75, £100, £150 and £200 that gave you increasing numbers of pledge points. As it is now, the two highest pledge levels are a bit rigid I think. Megalomanic gives you exactly all of the initial 79 minis, but none of the "add-ons"; if one of the London Bobbies sets and the Order of the Dragon could have been switched out for Bedlam Brotherhood and Clickers, for example, I'd be a lot more tempted to go to that level.

It's still a nice project, mind you, I just think it might look unecessarily complicated for new backers coming in at this point.

While I can understand people being a bit disappointed in the stall this one currently has remember it's raised $90,000 and is at 12x it's funding.

Oh absolutely, I don't consider this KS a failure in any way! To be honest, I'd be pretty happy even if it ended today; I'm in for £170 and am looking at almost too many choices of what to get already. ::):

(It would be kind of fun to see who Great Uncle Thulu is, though.)

I'm really struggling with if I want to add 200 more to this. I want a bunch of the vehicles for various gaming purposes but I'm horrible (and this hate) painting machines and vehicles as you really don't follow the same rules as you do with living things.

I hear you. That's why I'm taking the air brush course at ReaperCon. I figure this will make vehicles and terrain much easier.

I'm really excited about these miniatures. I was at Cold Wars in PA the other week and was able to pick up some of their Vampire Wars minis. I got some London Bobbies and civilians to start populating my Steampunk London town.

I've already painted Peter O'Cassidy, the local chimney sweep who seems to know a lot about other people's business. Oh, that rascally scamp!

Concept art for the Bedlam Brotherhood has been dropped; looking very cool! It's also worth pointing out that a lot of the stuff that was listed as stretch goals has been unlocked at this point, even stuff that we haven't reached. Most notably, this includes all of the vehicles, but also The Clickers faction is now available, even though we haven't reached £67K (we're very nearly there, though). The KS front page has been updated with a list of all available add-ons. Furthermore, all of the concept art for the original 79 minis has now been revealed; I guess it's really time to sit down, crunch some numbers, and finalize my pledge... Only four days left!
