recruittons
See, I find the forums less distracting because it's part of what actually gets me to my painting desk. If I didn't see a constant barrage of people who's work makes mine look like baby's-first-paint-job, I'd get too complacent to really try. On a related note, I woke up 1 hour ago, at 6am. I painted 4 minis by 6:30 (3 of them were badgers - 1 as a badger, 1 as a honey badger, and 1 as a wolverine )
Girot
nice!! i usually don't paint during my work week. i work 12 hour shifts and get up early and go to bed early. my days off are another matter though. currently I'm working on finishing up a pewter Munchkin Level Counter for a friend.
CashWiley
What....kind of old minis? I also tend to get limited painting time. That's one reason it feels so slow to me. I'll usually get a morning on the weekend and then a night during the week when the old lady works late. And then the rest of the week to wish I was painting and look at my WIP pics from days ago.

Pewter life counter for Munchkin? Sounds awesome! You should post a pic of it when you're done, I'm a big fan of the game
Slashhamster
One of the benefits of being a newbie; this is the complete collection of my unpainted masses: Once the kickstarter package arrives though...oh boy..
CashWiley
I think I've posted this here, but...before there was the drawer of shame, there was the mini mosh pit! Right after I had pulled them out of storage.
sumbloke
The fourth step is reading and posting on forums such as this instead of even considering trying to paint any minis. My hubby gives me hell for that all the time. As a result I try to spend most of the time on the forum at work, though there are some things I can't see at work because of their ridiculous filters. (Just because the WotC website is for D&D does not mean that it's going to eat the computer!) Tell me about it... just found I can't access the thread about "Transporting WIPs" because the URL has the consecutive letters S-P-O-R-T. Even worse was the time I was trying to research sendmail and/or Javamail for work purposes and couldn't because the work filters blocked "mail" URLs.
MonkeySloth
I think I've got to many to keep track of in my head as I have no idea which Deepwars minis I have and don't have so I decided to get some lists going. Decided on Springpad as it's kind of like pintrest but it allows me to also do tags on stuff that I can sort with yet it's not site wide (which I didn't see on Pintrest). Feel free to have a look to see if something that can help people. Not anywhere near 100%, that's going to take quite a bit. http://springpad.com/#!/Monkeysloth
Pierzasty
I have like 5000 points of Infinity minis still unprimed... For reference, a typical large force is 300 points and 10-15 models. That means 2 full shelves for a skirmish system, complete with drones, mechs and everythings. And the ridiculous level of detail means they take much more attention than your average tabletop. Spring is coming and I'll have less and less time to paint them... ...No the fact that I have a Vampire box + addons coming in is irrelevant shut up Edited March 15, 2013 by Pierzasty
