M.U.S.C.L.E. Men is where it was at!

I actually sent them a one dollar bill and some proof of purchases to get the poster with all the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures on it. Looking back, I can't believe I actually got the thing, I'm sure I was supposed to have included the dollar in the form of check or money order.

In 5th grade we had a "barter day" where we could bring small toys to trade to learn about the barter system. The M.U.S.C.L.E. dudes were like gold!

I remember those guys. Didn't they come in a clear round plastic tube thingie?

@Heisler don't feel bad man. When I read Friday that Babylon 5 was 20years old I was like, "WTF, it's not possible that came out when I was....oh yeah."

I don't remember a lot of toys from the '80s because about the time I hit 10 I got massively into hunting and fishing, and that pretty much consumed my life until I was old enough to drive.

Babylon 5 is 20 years old? That can't be right, that came out when I was... oh yeah.

Seems to be spreading.

My all time favorite toys are Micronauts (Microman in Japan) and I collect them haphazardly even now. I also collected M.U.S.C.L.E. at one time, had several Starriors and a few Wheeled Warriors (I worked at Toys R Us for a while and was biten by the toy collector bug really bad at one point). Does anyone else remember Inhumanoids, Rocks and Bugs and Things or maybe Visionaries?

I just read a month or two ago about Muscle men. They were actually imports from Japan based on some sort of boxing/wrestling anime. Really interesting read...

Damon.

Kinnikuman! There were some hardcore Kinnikurinos on the eBay Toys & Hobbies board. They were serious. Make all of us look like figure dilettantes. I answered a question one time, thinking it was some obscure subject like zinnfiguren or something that nobody else would ever answer, and I got such a corrective thrashing I never went near a Kinnikuman question again.

To this day the phrase "What are these little flesh coloured guys?" is enough to send me to stout cover where I'll shiver in fear and stare for a thousand yards.
