They have proms for goblins?! Oh god I do not want to touch the punchbowl!!

Wait...... Do you happen to know.....the Goblin King? Shall we summon his greatness and sing....for old times' sake? Hmm...what kind of magic spell to use....

You remind me of the babe...

While we're making Labyrinth references, I'd just like to point out that I AM the Goblin King (My IRL name being Jaryth, pronounced the same was as it is in the movie. Thats actually where my mother got it from. Just added her own spelling.)

Related note. Buglips, bow down to me! No, I'm just kidding. But you can go steal some children, and then sing a song!

Man! That's an awesome mom! I need to remember to be that cool with my kids! Oh but you do realize that you both need to meet at a convention, in your respective costumes. And take pictures. This is not an option IT IS LAW!!! The singing is optional though ;P

I am not, under any conditions, ever dressing up as David Bowie.

Everyone at Reaper is doing a great job. Its sad that we live in such a self entitlement/ instant gratification society that people can't seem to be happy about the fantastically great deal that they were a part of. Instead its all about me. MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME! I get so sick of hearing people whining about how things weren't done to their expectations or how because of Reapercon and the shipping situation, Reaper now has the worst customer service in the market.

I get the feeling from some of the posts here and on other forums that many of those people would never be satisfied about anything. In some cases if you gave them their order for free, they would still complain it took till May to get it. For those out there that have any doubt about if they are part of the self entitlement group, one clue is that you feel that you have the right or you have the need to decide when a business can schedule a con (that is held every year by the way) or to decide the best way for them to ship their products, even though you have nothing to do with said company. What hubris. Try telling a company like GW to do something. its not going to happen. Theyll laugh at you in your face. This company shouldn't be treated any differently just because they are smaller. A good rule of thumb is to treat people like you want to be treated.

Grow up, you made an investment. As a responsible investor, if you have questions you look for the answers. You don't expect someone to spoon feed you little bites of information every few days. You take responsibility for your investment. God forbid that you may have to join another forum or check facebook, but if you are concerned then you have to do these things. Stop blaming other for laziness. They aren't your slaves and they have a ton of work to get done, which by the way is being handled fantastically. So all the entitled people out there need to put their big boy or girl pants on, grow up and take responsibility for something. Rant ended. I now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Buglips, there are persons for whom insights into the process make them feel as if they are then a part of the process, and have a say in it. And while we value feedback and have in fact made changes to accommodate feedback, we cannot change everything and sometimes cannot change anything. Then there are those that confuse our inability to make changes with an innate failure in customer service - specifically, "I want you process my order now"/"I can't do that because Z, X, Y."/"You suck, that's crappy customer service, man, I'm going to tell everyone on facebook how much you suck."

Yes, I've had that conversation.

On the subject of customer service...

I work in the main call center for a pretty well known internet company who prides itself on customer service. I have given people a $1000 refund AND let them keep the product they purchased and STILL been yelled at for over ten minutes for not caring about the customer, simply because the refund takes three to five days to process. It's not even our system that takes that long, it has to do with the bank. But some people don't care about logistics, they only care about themselves and what's happening in their world.

And for the record, I'm not saying everyone who is complaining is like this. Some people DO have valid points, but I thought a little perspective was in order.

Ah, my condolences. Customer service is rough. My sister once worked at tech support for a company that served highly sophisticated financial people and had some stories you would not believe.

IQuote: I noticed a shop that was selling Reaper Sample paints. Same price as regular paints.

Would that not be the ubiquitous -Ample Brand paints. And -Ample figures in their baggies?

That brand makes ALL kinds of stuff!

No, it says Reaper SAMPLE (and having received several, I'm pretty sure I know!).

In all honesty, it doesn't bother me. It's still the same value as the other paints, it's just a one-shot, don't plan on replacing it.

As for the store, they're awesome guys, but the owner is not a painter. He has no need for sample paints, so I don't begrudge him the little extra money he'd get by selling the paint. It's *hard* to profit from a game store. Especially around here, where all other FLGS's have gone out of business.

Yes, I work for a prolific (if not popular) cable provider, and customers can be quite upset when their TV isn't working. In the service industry, you see the worst of people all the time, and rarely see the best. It helps to remember that there are good people out there too!
