Inarah
Painted these guys back in December, only now got to finishing the bases. Since they were sculpted sort of like angler fish that was the color scheme I chose to paint them, with more flesh tones in the 'human' parts. Ugly little suckers. The base is made from putty and 2-part epoxy, and strategically applied paint.
Spinward Bound
Love the detail on the scales and fins. All these aquatic show offs make me want to play an underwater game of DnD. Great looking bases too.

Jay
The pictures don't do them justice. My reaction was "dang they're ugly". Inarah replied "Thank you!" :)
MonkeySloth
you should enter these in our current painting contest. They'd probably fit in decorative base or single figure.
estrus
Excellent! Also excellent is the tag "roly poly fish men"!
Jabberwocky
I like the contrast between the fishy parts and the more human parts--cool take on the colors I've not seen done before. Thanks for thinking they are contest-worthy. This time around I think I'll give someone else a chance at the prizes, though.

chaosscorpion
Oo The color choices surprised me. I'm not sure why, I mean most fresh water fish are less brilliant with their coloring. I LIKE it. It reminds me of the coloration on a carp. The paint job is great. The detail on the scales is superb, and the blending is very nice. Darkstar
Nice color scheme, I think painting monsters like this is always fun because of the various ways you can imagine how they should look. I like how you've made them look creepy and realistic, those are great colors all working together
Patrik Strom
I like it! They look very sinister.
