My estimate is ten hours. To paint Tyden, not to tunnel to Oz. For me, that's speedy. For OC, that's like ten minis.

 

Anyway, thanks for the kind words! It's been a blast working through these kits. Kind of feel cast adrift (no pun intended) with no directions now!

Compared to me, that's greased lightning. I'd take . . . 6, 7 months to finish Tyden. If she was one of the lucky ones.

 

Although my Bones output is a bit better.

My problem is staying focused lately. I had today off of work and got some good progress done but in the 8 hours I was "painting" I probably only did 3-4.

That's why I can only estimate. I was also doing laundry, hitting the wood pile for the stove, playing guitar, watching Bond, playing with the cat, snacking, etc etc. ADHD and whatnot.

I finally broke down and bought the NNM LTPK. I really didn't want to drop monies on it but too many people have shown some great results from doing so. Also bought LTPK 5 to finish off the metals.

This kit is definitely my favorite. It took a lot to digest the instructions and I still have a loooong way to go. But it's a solid foundation in NMM and the recipe sheet will be on my desk for many temporal units.

 

Another note to add before I collapse into sleep in preparation for the work week. Note on my last few Show-Offs I've increased the image size. I like to push myself into things like that, where every flaw is MAGNIFIED. I urge all new painters to not only get into the habit of taking WIP pictures, which can help you see mistakes, missed spots, natural shadows, etc; but to really embrace putting the finished product out there. And put in the effort to get good pictures!

Not if I'm looking for any sort of quality. 4-8 hours on a good mini. First Snow was easily around the 8 hours mark, and she spent weeks just sitting on my bench base coated. Now for speed painted table top minis, yes I can do 10 of those in 10 hours...but often I get interrupted by some other thing "I have to do now". Lets face it the last 8 months is the most concentrated and productive burst of painting I've ever had. :)
