Had a nice long chat with my sister about camera's the other day (she's a Major dslr fan, she's one of those crazy run around in the jungle save the rainforest type.)and she pointed me towards the 500 series, I couldn't bring myself to get a new one for almost $400, but got a used one from amazon for $290ish and while that's a step higher than i wanted to pay I figure It will pay for it's self the next time my daughter does something cute.

And along those lines I finally scored the Nikon lens that I wanted for macro photography, although I haven't had a chance to mess around with it and it came with a lot of stuff I don't need. In fact I think the reason I managed such a good price on it is because it came with so much other stuff like; a Nikon FM camera, two flashes, and a dozen filters (including my favorite type, a polarizing filter).

The lens? Nikon Micro-Nikkor 105mm F/2.8 Lens, completely manual, but my Nikon DSLRs (D70 and a D50) can handle it without a problem.

Well, if you are into film and can't find it, I do have three Nikon N70s and the aforementioned FM, oh and a Pentax K1000 from highschool. And then there is the camera I inherited from my Uncle a Minora with 5 lenses.

I miss the K1000(s) that I used to own. I should get another K1000 one of these days, since I own far better glass now than I did back then.
