TheAuldGrump
Bruce Hirst also has a tutorial over on his site, http://www.hirstarts.com/tips25/tips25.html#cubes ETA: Abaroth (of Abaroth's World) also has a qucik tutorial at his site, http://www.abarothsworld.com/Tricks/monsters%20&%20minis.htm Heh - I was going to suggest using Legos, but there they are. Legos are all kinds of useful if you are making RTV molds. Hirst went with slightly blobby edges, but some cubes prefer something... sharper.... Obviously this is Lone Wolf & Cube.... Dadcubed
My god, could you guys imagine a semi-translucent Gelatinous Cube? It's probably impossible, but I could soil my diaper just thinking about it. If a semi transluescent green gelatinous cube were made I would have 3. No doubts, no quibble. Edit: wow otherworlds are great. Would like green though ;) Looking forward to my characters from otherworld did their indigogo fund raiser :) Edited February 27, 2013 by Dadcubed
haldir
Did you paint it, Haldir? I've been looking for a painted version to use as a reference. It's pretty much sitting on my computer desk where I left it when I opened it, ha ha.
Atramagus
Yep, I would definitely by a transparent wall of ice effect hehe. Hmm... I like the idea of having an open ended, clear cube that you can just drop on top of a pc. That's kind of neat!

kyaakone
Boy it looks terrible big. I replace the images with some smaller thumbnail-sized ones soon. Sorry about that everyone. :/ edit: done Edited March 1, 2013 by kyaakone
Pingo
Yep, I would definitely by a transparent wall of ice effect hehe. Hmm... I like the idea of having an open ended, clear cube that you can just drop on top of a pc. That's kind of neat! That reminds me of some bug boxes my siblings and I had when we were kids. They were little cubes of clear plastic with a lens built into the lid (obviously not for long-term holding). One of those. lidless and upended, would do well for a clear cube effect over a mini. They are a little big, but the boxes Chessex dice sets come in would do well also, and would accommodate raised swords (I currently use one to hold my metal mini trimmings).
