I'm not sure how shipping is going... I mean, I got one of the early birds, & I didn't bump up into it latter, I got it while there were still plenty.  That would indicate I bought in fairly early.  But, no shipping notice yet...

With shipping now well underway and you all gradually receiving your first packages from us, we'd like let you know about our upcoming plans for Drake. Many of you have asked us about ways to add more items to your Drake collection. Folks who missed our Kickstarter have asked us if they too could get involved. We'd like to respond to the requests we've had from gamers all over the world. This is for you.

We're excited to announce that this week Action Games Miniatures is launching Drake II: Horizons, a Kickstarter campaign to fund our 4th battle force: the Shi Nation. You may have seen a sneak peek for the Shi at the end of our pre-release mini-book. The Shi are a formidable people from the southern lands of Dara and their dragon leaders threaten to shift the balance of power in this dragon-ruled world.

As we've mentioned, you - our Drake: The Dragon Wargame Kickstarter backers - are our priority and we will have completed your orders before anyone else's. You are the reason we are around today, creating, playing and dreaming. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

While our manufacturing and shipping teams have been busy producing and packing miniatures, the development team has been imagining new dragons, beasts and peoples for the land of Dara as this new chapter in our story unfolds. Art direction is once again headed by Adam Meixner.

And while the new Shi force is our focus with this campaign, some oldies but goodies from the Rish, Saan, and Garrick forces will be making a comeback as well.

This is an exciting time for us and the growing company we all made together. It is time, almost one year later, for Drake to return and reach out into the world!

They shouldn't be doing a second kickstaeter until at least all wave one shipping is done.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything yet, there's no chance I'll back until I see actual product.

 

It's not surprising that they are doing this though, they basically started a whole studio based on the first campaign and expected to be delivering last summer. $129k is a lot of cash, but not enough to support all that staff and actually make all that stuff. They need more income to keep going until they get some non-kickstarter sales happening. Plus not all the staff are in manufacturing, this keeps everyone busy. Raging Heroes is in the same boat, they have their creative teams working on the next kickstarter even though they are still a long way from fulfillment.

 

Those are some good looking designs though, I could see me giving them more money if the first wave shows soon.

I didn't fund Drake or DwarvenForge and kick myself for it. I will be hopefully looking at throwing in for at least small pledges.

Looks like they're getting a lot of push back in the comments, which I don't think they were expecting, and it seams they're planning on finishing wave one shipping this week. Many people want them to wait so people game get wave two and actually paint and play.

 

Be interesting to see what happens.

Some of the people are people who are also cranky about the delivery time being pushed back..  honestly, they'd be better off without some of them on the next KS.. Its not like they aren't shipping anything and there is no light in the tunnel..

Not surprised there are grumbles.  I've been burned by being stupid enough to back a second KS when the first hasn't finished (or really started) fulfillment.  I'm not going to compound that stupidity by backing another one which hasn't fulfilled.  Especially since I haven't seen even a shipping notification from part 1.

Meh, honestly I won't play the game much and am just buying for minis. Really like everything so far so I would back before wave 2. If I didn't have wave 1 that would be a different story though

Well, I have recieved the wave 1 minis, and on the strength of those, I will be backing the second one even if the wave 2 might be a long way off still.
