So they're starting the 5th of this month.  I understand the reasoning (bills to pay and they have no source of income until they finish KS1) but it's still not something I'm happy with.

But I did just get a shipment waiting notice so  I'll have my stuff the end of this week or next so, assuming i like the minis, I'll back KS2 as I love my psudo Egyptians.

I finally got my package yesterday. It is a very intimidating box, some assembly required is an understatement. I have never done any complex assembly before, I am not looking forward to the learning curve on these. There are bits hanging off almost everything, so you can't even just match up pieces without doing some trim. Also, some of the pegs seem too big for the holes. I think assembly will be a real mess. However, the minis do look good. The metal stuff looks better than the resin, though I don't have any real resin experience to compare. My timor dragon in particular seems very poorly made, bad lines and holes, and some things to remove that look difficult. Still, it is a big, impressive beast, I think it will look great assembled and painted.

The biggest problem though, is that I am missing three items. The Seretin Dragon, the kickstarter exclusive mini and one of the Rivercrest scouts.

The larger pegs that don't fit I assume are in the resin?  That's common with Resin and you'll need to saw (not clip or cut) off.

Of the metal I didn't see any pegs that looked over sized (didn't look at everything though).

The sheet of paper that lists what's supposed to be in the box has an email you can use to inform them of missing items.

I went through and matched up cards to models and was missing some of them too.. I emailed them and it took a few days but they got back to me.. sent me an updated packing list.. I verified everything I was missing and they sent me a final updated packing list..  with that many minis I wasn't shocked they missed a couple.. (Twins, formosi)

the head peg on the Seratin is too big for the hole in the neck.  Prepare to file/trim down with a knife.. so far its the only really bad metal joint I've seen.  Part of the issue with the resin pegs being too large is they have the sprue right against the peg instead of extending the pegs maybe 1/16" or a few mm so there was definition of the peg from the sprue..

My wave 1 package was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. I haven't had time to catalog everything and make sure it was all there, but there was a fair amount of metal and resin in the box.

I have to say that I was a little surprised at how soft the detail was on the resin portion of the Seretin dragon, especially its base. The metal minis look much sharper, but their weapons are extremely thin, which makes me worry about breakage in the future. (They look nice though.)

I'll try to get some time to play with a few models over the weekend so I can have a more informed opinion.

Make sure you also have all the cards for your models.. I was missing a couple..

Hoo-boy

I'm going to need to sit down very carefully with my order spreadsheet, my packing slip and the actual materials. I think there may be a lot of mistakes.

Among other things, if the packing slip is to be believed, I think the box is missing a Timor Dragon that I never ordered. I also got a card for the Rish dragon coming in wave 2, but not for the Seretin dragon sent in wave 1. This could take a while.
