March Miniature Challenge

ugh.. my two prefered minis came yesterday.. one had a bent sword, and when I tried to straighten it, it snapped off at the hand (for the record, the joint was WAY too small and it should have just been on a sprue and cast appropriately.) The second is resin and appears to be miscast since there is a hole in her head that looks like something would go in it, but in fact, should not be there at all.. sigh

 

Ugh looks like the resin one is out of stock now.. and the other one got put on clearance after I ordered.. LOL

Glue the one you broke back together? At least the way I'm picturing what you described it doesn't sound too bad.

Going to try to.. the contact point is just over the size of a straight pin.. so I may try to pin it.. the sword may not survive that though

I am still working on this, having decided to do Selene from Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility.

 

Today, after gluing decorative bits to my fingers, the paper protecting my desk, the tweezers, various pins, and still more fingers I am surrendering and declaring the sculpting phase done.

Legend of Zelda definitely counts as does most other similar action RPGs.

I may have to dig in my minis for a suitable Zelda mini the princess herself that is. If I have one ill try to squeeze her in for march. I'm excited to see all the entries.

Well my primary mini is indeed defective and they will not have a replacement in stock for 5-6 weeks.. grr. thankfully i got 3 different ones

I've got the sculpting on mine done, but I've just primed it for the third time. Curse you, Bobby Jackson, for sculpting such tiny, tiny eyes...

So the minis finally got in.. I will be getting them primed up tommorrow hopefully, and then the painting begins.
