March Miniature Challenge

After some hemming and hawing, I'm in. I was about to paint up my 03439: Dicarus Darksword and thought he would make a good Young Link. After searching the forums, I found a thread from about a year ago with the exact same idea. It must be fate. I just finished filing off the goatee, and greenstuffing some boots on him.

well Kain is about finished, need to work on some highlighting and the spear a bit. planning on updating the wip when i get home.

I'm going to have to bow out of this challenge. My mini's arrived and Grant Dylan isn't going to work for Cid. Grant is tiny. I don't think I could remove his pistol and replace it with a spear without destroying his hand. Maybe next time.

Well, am about to mix up some Pro-Create for modding some minis. Working on Shadow Kanji and a couple options for the spring Cleaning exchange thing. Mini for Normal Kanji will be here Wednesday at the latest. And I still cannot find a good pic of either Kanji or his Shadow for referance. Might have to ask on an Image board for a couple pics of my subject soon. Also, dreading making a Folding Chair for Normal Kanji at the moment.

so cut the hand off and sculpt one on the spear.

I'm sorry but D&D characters don't count towards the theme, you will still get some points , but the idea behind the theme was to paint a miniature to look like a character that it is not.

I thought the theme was to make a mini look like a console game character?

The theme is to make it look like a video game character, but it's kind of pointless to do characters from D&D games since they already have figures to represent them.

not so much, It sounds like its an issue because they already made mini's of him before the video games, link not so much you have to get slightly creative to do a link mini which seems to be the point.
