If the scale is right this could get the interest of Inner Sphere players from classic Battletech as well.

The original posters linked page states, " 1/285th scale game pieces with detail and power." Does that sound right?

I honestly can't remember which is why I copped out with an ambiguous scale comment.

EDIT: Wikipedia says yes.

If the scale actually does match Battletech I will be one of their most enthusiastic customers. :)

They are both 1/285th so as long as there is no scale creep they should be compatible. i would be very surprised if they hadn't thought about Battletech in their sales plans considering it's all the old Inner Sphere designs that disappeared due to the Sunrise licensing issues.

Original Marauders.... Yes please!

Funny this became a Kickstarter. Originally there was only a box battle game coming out in the Fall.

Hopefully the rumors of some 28mm cyclones and pilots are true. Kevin said on in that annoucement there were so that makes me happy.

Hmm, that means their building and scenery bits are also in scale. I'll be watching this. While many times in the past I've thought Kevin Siembieda was a bit of a noodlehead, he is right about one thing: this is something I've wanted for a couple of decades.

I don't know about noodlehead, but he is an over promoter and promiser. He's learned to not talking about projects that aren't close enough to being finished now days as there are some that old school Palladium fans like me are still waiting on.

But since Cipher and Soda Pop are doing the production on this I have no worries about it being delivered. If everything was being managed by Palladium I'd expect it to be delivered a year late as they're just too small of an outfit to do this alone--which I'm happy they have teamed up with someone else as this isn't Kevin's usual MO.

Maybe if this goes we'll we can see the RIFTS miniature line brought back. I've only got like half of it (Need to get a few glitter boys).
