I got my battlecry set, and I have one question. Which way to the Regult feet go on the legs? with the pointy side facing forward or the spread open side facing forward. I checked every version of a battlepod I have from other companies, and the feet were more parallel semicircles rather than the clamshell looking feet of these models.

An armored Valkyrie will require four different miniatures for one unit on the battlefield. I *think* that's the highest multiple in the game.

Is this because the armor can be jettisoned?  So one armored battloid and then one of each mode sans armor?

If so, the Super should come in as the highest multiple with 6 - having jettisonable armor* and transformation modes within both states.

*Shown when Rick flies to Alaska Base after Dolza's bombardment.

Yes, that is exactly why. The armor adds damage boxes and extra missile packs, but you're stuck in Battloid mode until you jetison it. That means you'd have to have the armored battloid mini, and all three modes of unarmored Valkyrie to go with it.

I think the super-valk fast packs and armor may be jetisonable, but I'm not sure you'd gain any benefit for dumping it.

Not sure if anybody will find this helpful, but:

I started playing around with the color codes from the back of the Robotech Rulebook and the Reaper Power Palette. The result has some translation errors, due to the limitations of digital image formats, but I did get some good starting points for paint matches. (So far, I have only tried 4 semi-random color schemes)

You can find it here.

I'm in the middle of priming my artillery Regult so I can try it out some time SoonTM.

Showdown arrived. I know there are aspects of this kickstarter and how they did the minis that I wish had gone different but it is mighty hard not to giggle with glee at the freaking amazing amount of plastic mecha in the box. The parts look very nice on the sprues - gonna throw a few together here right now.....

My crude PowerPalette exercise above suggests "Tanned Shadow", perhaps combined with "Ashen Brown".

For the record, my technique was to input Palladium's color hex codes into Illustrator, accept the inaccuracies in Illustrator's color map, and then upload the picture to the PowerPalette for analysis. Please take any recommendations with a huge grain of salt.

well after building a selection of various mechs from the kickstarter I my conclusions are pretty much what I expected:

-The Zentraedi are really nice minis - the pods are great, look good and have decent detail. They are easy to assemble and pose IMHO.

-the human forces not so much. They are not a total train wreck or anything but they do take quite a lot of effort and time to assemble especially if you are trying to do something about the join seams which are everywhere and almost always in the most visible locations possible. I find it hard to believe they could not have found a better way to split the figures up for injection moulding but this is what we have. It took me quite a bit of trial and error to get good fits in some major locations like the leg joins to the groin on the Destroids or the upper arms to the forearms on the Valkyrie. There are also some really tiny parts that are difficult to handle.

I have not read the rules yet but for me this was all about the minis. i am hopeful they can improve things some for the wave 2 portion of this kickstarter whenever that occurs (no doubt we probably will not see anything from that till late next year) Overall I am still pretty happy with what i have received but I like building plastic models and was expecting assembly required, though maybe not quite this much lol :)
