Delayed Robotech RPG Tactics - Palladium

I haven't cracked open my box, but if it's got RGB hex codes, there are a number of sites that will turn those hex codes into an RGB number along with providing a sample of the color.  For example, this one.  You could take a screen capture of the square, assemble a group, and then run them through the Power Palette.

 

But, I think that someone has already done that earlier in this thread or in a thread in the Painting Tips, but, unfortunately, I can't remember who did it.  I've got a file with some color schemes on it and Reaper paints, but I don't feel comfortable uploading it without attribution.

Yeah, I found that, but I'm going to give it a shot off the animation cells. I figure it's more likely to be accurate than using Paladium's hex codes.

Finally got my Wave 1 (after giving the post office the goverment's rent for holding my parcel in customs for 4 days......).

2 things: wash the sprues before painting and my lord that's a lot of fiddly bits. I have less parts on some of my 200 scale robotech models!

I have come to the conclusion that I want to slap someone at Ninja Division. Why, oh why is the Spartan left arm 3 pieces, when it could be one?

I should not need a magnifying glass and tweezers to put together a spaceship.  Not even the BFG ships were this bad.  And dont get me started on the optional weapons loadouts.  you cant even prespray the sprues because you don't know were something is going to have to get glued to.

Finished with half of my UEDF Mecha. Magnetized the Phalanx arms so I can interchange them between the standard and alternate configs. (Yeah. That was fun. Thinking of taking up orbital mechanics calculations as a hobby.)

I have assembled exactly two Tomahawks, Three Regults, and the legs and torso of a Valkyrie in Battloid. The assembled models have been primed, but not yet painted.

I am hopping to Magnetize my models as well. including the missile load-outs. I'm hoping that i'll be able to use a magnet to hold them to a stick (toothpick?) and brush paint them.

 

Also, the Sprues are heavy duty enough you need to be careful with some of the really fiddly stuff can break very easily just trying to removing them from the sprue. to be fair, I'd just assume not attach some of them as they break from accidentally mishandling them using them in a game.

This is what you get when you the licensor has to approve all the models (iirc).

 

Between AvP and Robotech, I'm staying away from any KS where the licensor approves the models. It just adds more possible delays to the project. ):

I have a mix of maybe a dozen built from both sides; although some are painful to build I am overall still pleased. The only one that really irritated me was the "Spartan" as it seemed to fit together poorly and was hard to pose plus I really dont like the open missile bays version that you must use for one mech per sprue. Chopping the open bay door and trying to reglue closed does not work well at least for me.
