Arachne
Ok, not a million, but like, a few hundred! Lots of old old TSR books from Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Eberron, among others just turned up on Audible this morning... http://www.audible.com/mt/Dungeons_and_Dragons My inner nerdy thirteen year old just fainted. (ok, maybe not so inner) They're not all there, but there's enough to keep me busy forever. Talk about nostalgia. I don't know if a lot of you listen to audiobooks, but it's what I do when I paint, pretty much. Oh, this is so perfect, all these old D&D books, and the Bones coming soon. I'm so inspired!
Pingo
I wonder how they do the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books?
Arachne
I'd imagine it would be a lot of futzing around with fast forward and rewind, haha. "Move to 11 minutes and 39 seconds if you choose to go in the cave. Move to 14 minutes an 45 seconds if you choose to explore around the outside."
Inarah
Yow! At those prices I think I'll stick with paperbacks.
Arachne
Audiobooks are a little more expensive, but I subscribe to the site, and get credits, discounts, and sales each month, makes it a little more affordable.
MonkeySloth
The point of Audible is to do their subscription. If you listen to a lot of books it can be quite cheap.
Pragma
When I read this I thought of D&D rulebooks, and I started imagining some poor narrator reading aloud through table after table of random magic items.

You're not alone C.c I was slightly worried at the thought of someone listening to a rulebook for a while.
Arachne
HAHAHA omg. I know some people that might even listen to that... I mean, not me of course, er. I'm still laughing at glaive-guisarme. Well, at least I'd know how to pronounce it.

Well, at least I'd know how to pronounce it. Yeah... I had a friend who pronounced obelisk as "oh-b leesk". That was entertaining. "There are four oh-b leesks on top of the tower." "Four what?" "Oh-b leesks." "... What?" "You know, tall, thin, kind of have a point on the end." "... Do you mean obelisks?" "... Shut up."

I grew up on the "Astérix" books and thought that was how you pronounced it for a long time.
Arachne
I had a friend that called scimitars "skim-tars" so, I feels ya. I really do. We used to play a lot o Magic: The Gathering, and he always had SKIM-TARS in his decks. ALWAYS with the damn skim-tars.
