As I've posted elsewhere, I don't look at Kickstarted video games as an investment, or a preorder. I look on it as helping to provide an environment where the types of games I want to play, and the stories I want to tell, can be made at all.

So yeah. I've kicked in for this one and if I never see anything from it?

I'll still consider it money well spent.

Same as the above for me. I don't know that I'll get the chance to play this, Wasteland 2, or Eternity all that much. I'm quite sure that I won't be able to play through them all at the very least. But they're the kind of games that I want to see more of, so keen to join in on showing the market for this kind of thing.

Now if only one of these companies had a Kickstarter for a City of Heroes style game...

Agreed, I'll happy kick these games even if it turns out bad. I'm happy to see the format revised rather than the first person Bethesda stuff that I tend to find repetitive and boring. Very excited about all these games and whatever else they plan on doing for us.

I'm nervous about the first one to get released and hope it's good, if it is I'll definitely jump onto everything else that's gold.

This stupid KS could end up costing me a lot of money. I decided to kick in for the game, then went and looked at the Wasteland2 info... so I kicked in for the 'both games' reward. Then I went and revisited the Numenera RPG page... now I want that stupid book too. Double triple damn. Time to put more old GW stuff I ebay I guess...

For $20, this is a bargain. I'm also glad to see Pre-orders are up for Numenera core book. I couldn't quite justify $60 last fall, but I can now. I don't want to be left out on the first printing and having to wait til November or later before a 2nd printing comes along.

Hmm... Not sure how I feel about this one. I absolutely loved Planescape: Torment, and am somewhat leery of someone saying this is a spiritual successor... I'll have to wait and see more, and if it looks awesome, I'll probably back it and pretend it had nothing to do with the original.

If you have followed the progress of Wasteland 2 at all, I believe it should allay any fears. The game play video they released a couple of weeks ago looks really strong and they should be using the same engine in both games.

Up to 1.9 million after a day of activity. If this trends the way most Kickstarters of this type do we could be looking at 7-8 million pledged.

Which makes me happy in my gaming spot : )

2mill in less than two days is pretty awesome, with still at least a potential nother 20k backers.

I wouldn't expect it to hit more than 3-4mill in total as video games have a massive spike at the start, not the end. But I've revised my estimates should reaper do another. I was thinking they'd do 500 -700k in the first week.

Based on the mailing list they'll have and word of mouth I'd expect 1 - 1.5 mil for reaper on the first day based on their awesomeness from the first kickstarter with value for money.

No miniatures in this kickstarter but I just had to post about it because I was such a fan of the old Planescape: Torment game.

It looks like there are a lot of really talented people involved in this. They are even bringing Pat Rothfuss in to do some writing in one of the upcoming stretch goals. Pat seems really excited about it too. http://blog.patrickrothfuss.com/2013/03/concerning-games-torment-and-a-sense-of-play/

It has already met its funding but they are pumping every extra dollar into making the game as great as possible. It looks like they are really listening to the fan input too. I just wanted to share this with you all since it is the only other kickstarter I have pledged to other than Bones.

Oh! How did I miss that. I even looked to see if there was already a post on it. I must be going blind from all the miniature painting. Awesome, I'm so glad everyone is checking it out. If anyone is on the fence about backing, as Pat pointed out, you can get it cheaper now rather than later and the money you spend now will go toward making it even better.
