Our $3.5M Stretch Goal will add Chris Avellone to our team. You’ve probably heard of him, as he was the lead designer for Planescape™: Torment, the game that inspired us to create this project. Chris will be the first to say PS:T was a team effort, but he was its creative visionary and wrote the lion’s share of the game. He later cofounded Obsidian Entertainment, where he is the Creative Director. Chris was the lead designer for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, and has contributed his design expertise to every project Obsidian has developed. He also worked with inXile on Wasteland 2 last year, including designing the area showcased in

It's down to the last 11 hours... very excited for this game after reading more.

On a related note, the original Planescape: Torment is on sale at gog.com, for those 2 people who haven't played it:

It's also part of a greater dnd game deal there. 10 games for 21 bucks. Not too shabby

I'm in for this and Wasteland2 from these guys. Both look great, but I'm more excited about this one.

I love GOG.com! I may have to grab the old Torment on there. I may still have the disk laying around but even if so, a lot of games just don't work on newer versions of Windows. Good Old Games seems to do a good job making sure they do.

GOG is essential for any self-respecting pc gamer.

I'm in for this, Divinity and Project: Eternity, I missed Wasteland and Shadowrun but I'll be getting both of them as well. Some really good isometric rpg goodness coming down the pike.

As an aside about GOG, if you're going to run Ultima 7/7.5 use Exult rather than GOG's launcher. Lots more fixes and it runs great on a modern setup (even looks good on my 71" monitor which makes me chuckle endlessly).

I did have to drop down from the limited physical goods tier to the base download for Torment, though. I'm winding down my KS participation for a while (Raging Heroes notwithstanding).

There is a $45 pledge level that nets you Torment AND Wasteland2. That's how I'm getting Wasteland2 as I missed it. I skipped Project Eternity... that was dumb.

Sad thing is, I'll probably just keep playing minecraft. Found a good server with an online buddy of mine as admin, lots of input into what mods get loaded, etc. Fun balance of more hardcore stuff for us (even though I'm not hardcore...just efficient) and casual stuff for the kids and wives that play.

Minecraft you say? I've been known to craft some mines...

We just reset and as usual I drew mutters when I showed up in town in my iron armor and halberd when they were all just putting up the first walls. I happened to get on a bit early and get a jump on mining :) And folks were pretty thankful when the ogres started showing up!

I might go into full blown derail even more than usual....time for a new thread.

My kickstarted video games list:

Project Eternity
Torment: Numenera

Wasteland 2

War for the Overlord

I missed out on Shadowrun, but after seeing the early game play footage, I wasn't too impressed. I'll have to wait and see what the reviews are like when it comes out.

I actually got my fiance, who swore up and down that she would never play video games, interested in Torment - so much so that she had me order a copy for her. She's an avid reader, loves sci-fi and fantasy genres, and likes the idea of essentially playing a book hehe.
