I clearly need to take Shubert's class next year on expressive faces - looking very good!

Thanks! The sculpt is very Klockenangry, so combined with my penchant for painting angry faces, I'm not sure we can credit DKS just yet...but he's a definite credit for those eyes!

Pingo - I believe he means by cutting away the lids is that certain figures actually have eyelids and if you gently cut them off it will leave more room to do the eyes the way you want to, which results in bigger eyes and easier to paint.

Hah! I blame Schubert for that one!

Did some shading on the skin and the first round of highlights. Think I still need to tweak the mids and add several more highs, but I wanted to take a break and think about it some more. Dark Shadow, Tanned Shadow, Tanned Skin, Golden Highlight are the colors so far, some Chestnut glaze.

Those eyes!!  :wub: I just can't get over how amazing they turned out; I'll have to give that style a try sometime! (after I've leveled up a bit more as a painter; I'm still struggling with jewels, which has a similar sort of approach, if I'm remembering the style correctly) They do look better after the tweaks you did; I can definitely see the color more clearly now! :)

His face is looking marvelous so far as well, I really like the strong lines you've put there, and the highlights look very nice.

Huzzah!

Arr ye scalawag! Git ye ta swabbin'!

I actually did get in a quick session a while ago, some face touchups and the undertunic and another very quick session to clean up and line the tunic. If it rains the next couple nights I should get in some pretty solid sessions on Noreth. I had planned on painting tonight, but looks like I might have time to mow my jungle masquerading as a yard.

edit: oops was away from my desk before I hit post...wasn't calling Corporea a scalawag! Looks what you did, UN!

Cash;

Looking incredible.

I like the "Puritan" spartan look of this miniature.

The colors and the tone of the colors really shows a starkness, that reflects in the

personality reflected on the face of this Mini.. thats really intense.
