We’d also like to announce that we will be holding some Reaper Con events at the Hilton. As attendance increases and space becomes a premium, we will be holding some events offsite. For example, this year’s Warlord tournament will be held at the Hilton, as well as most of our Pathfinder Society events. More details as they become available.

Actually, the quoted information is old info. Plans for the location of the tournament have changed a couple times; I'll not preclude that they might change again from the latest information I have. Rest assured, however, that there will be a tournament, and scenarios are in development.

You are not alone in this, however, as I understand it, pre-reg numbers are outstripping previous years (blame the success of the Bones KS project and the influx of new, excited forum members for it, if you like). Even with the expansion, there is a finite amount of space at Reaper's facilities. The Warlord tournament (like many of the RPGs and the like) take up significant space, and aren't things that *can't* be moved from Reaper. In fact, since you are basically committing to about 6-7 hours at one location (the length of time it takes to play the 3 rounds of the Warlord tournment), it actually makes sense to move it offsite (with the exception of having to drag 6-ish tables worth of terrain there).

We'll roll with the punches, and make sure a good time is had by all, regardless of where it runs. I'm (reasonably) local, so I'll be driving my own vehicle for the con; I'll be glad to transport people and their gear back and forth before and after the tournament, as well as for a meal break.

Vince is correct. We're just busting at the seams here, so we've had to make some tough calls. Since *most* folks show up to Reaper Con to paint, we've dedicated most of the space this year to open painting. That means some of the normal events that you might see every year at Reaper HQ are now moving to the Hilton (which is fantastic, btw). So, this year we are indeed moving the tournament to the hotel. The shuttle will be running to help facilitate getting back and forth. I anticipate that things will run smoothly and that it will actually be a great place to run the tournament as well as several other games. I know Castlebuilder's Dragon's Night Out will be there, and it's huge!

This year we will continue to provide a special edition miniature for Warlord Tournament players. This year's model was sculpted by Bobby Jackson and is intended to be used as a proxy model (the same as the Warlord model from three years ago). However, this year's model will eventually be put into the Bones line. The only way you can get it in pewter is to enter the Warlord tournament.

So, if you want it sooner rather than later, you'd better enter the tournament next month. If you want to get it in Bones...well, I guess you'll have to wait another year until it comes out. ::P:

I guess you guys will be wanting a picture of this year's mini, huh? You'll have to wait until Monday. :poke:

OK, where is the sign-up thread? The way I did my classes I can just spend Saturday at the Hilton.

@Vince[?]; Stubdog[?]: I need to sign up for Saturday...

It is a different sculpt from the one in the link? Will the one in the link get turned into a bones model someday?

I think Ron's reference was that the new model is being sculpted by Bobby Jackson and is intended to be used as a proxy, just as the model 3 years ago was sculpted by Bobby, and intended to be used as a proxy. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't tease us with a Monday reveal of the model if he actually meant the model from 3 years ago (which he so conveniently linked).

Regarding sign-ups, hopefully Jason and I will have something to announce soon. We've both be under a bit of a time crunch recently, and haven't been able to make progress as quickly as we'd like on the scenarios. Generally, all that info usually goes up together.
