Hello all! I'm new to both painting minis and this board.

I've only painted a handful (literally) of minis so far.

Here's what I was able to get done yesterday.

Nice Shields. I'm trying to decide what bone color I like the most and they all seem to work well.

A little variety is good instead of a hoard of bleached bone.

I want to see more freehand from you, I like it. I will try to copy it, I hate my blue shields... I looked at them a few hours ago and thought, they are no good.

Thanks! I was an art major but switched to CIS with an art minor but doing something artistic for as long as I can remember.

I'm in love with mini painting, I think I'll be staying with this for a long while, especially since I've been table-top gaming for as long as I can remember as well.

These aren't my first minis, though, it is my first free hand.

I've painted five others but I haven't gotten any pics of them yet.

Welcome!

The color variation in the bones is a welcome change and your freehand is awesome.

Whoa! You may be a beginner, but you're already doing an incredible job with the free hand work that would make a practiced veteran proud! Awesome shields!

Love the concepts of all three. The shields steal the show though. Welcome to the forums we are always glad to see new people love this hobby as much as all of us do. For some of us, it is more than that. It is a love that has turned into a part time or full time job. Keep painting and keep learning and you will always have fun.
