As gorgeous work as ever. I am really loving the highlights on the blue.

Whoo!  More accomplished!  My goal is to have it done by next week.  Thanks everyone!  I really like complementaries.  I think a good way to get them to work is to make sure the colors are somewhat desaturated and not too intense.

 

 

I think I'll add some more color to the marble, and do a few more washes.  I attached the wings but still need to greestuff them and attach the head and arm.

 

Oh- the hoard is glitter.  I followed the big pile o treasure tutorial except I did a brown wash with mahogany along with a black wash in the deep crevices.  More soonish...

I love the wings, they look almost transparent.

hmmn... maybe 10 hrs? I really need to go back and fix the dragon with some blending.  Right now the transitions are too sharp, but it's hard to tell from a distance.  I ended up going in to each individual scale which irritated the heck out of me.  sigh.  So I played with the base instead this weekend.

That's what broke me on Ebonwrath. In hindsight, I wish I had jsut done an overall gradient and went back in to line definition in and pop the highlights. I was paying attention to Aaron Lovejoy at one point!

I like how you have reflected the blue of the scales onto the stone base, like the dragon is partially reflective.  I like it.
