Well, it's been 8 months til now . . . another 30 days or so will be a breeze.

It's too close for me now, I'm chewing at the bit. I need more gum, or things to chew. or keep me occupied!

Thankfully I have a Con I'm travelling to in a few weeks where I'll be a special guest. Looking forward to it and should distract me. ... for now.

There's a con to which I'm going in a few weeks that will only make it worse as I'll be in the same building with my shipment.

You haven't updated your DA account since the coloured Maneki Neko , what do you mean you need more things to keep you occupied. Your fans demand art

Very well! Here's a digital painting I'm working on for my portfolio:

Well, there's also the fact that I have the mind of a . . . what's the word? I forget. Hang on. It's on the tip of my tongue. Mind of a... mind of a... Goblin! That's it! Mind of a goblin.

And as a result I tend to... uh... hold on... I tend to... forget! YES! Forget stuff!

And that's why I... what were we talking about again? Oh yes, the Kickstarter! The Bones kickstarter! Well, all I can say is that I don't mind waiting because when it's up and live I'll have more money to pledge. 2010 is going to be the best year ever!

I am trying to organize my hobby room, paints, models to build, models to paint, trying to sell off all my 40K and Warmahordes minis. So have enought to do, and of course planning a painting day with several friends who also got in on the Vampire sets.

[obligatory] That's 'soles', Buggy.

Let's see... Last night I spent a good several hours fighting storm-induced coma to hunt down more Youtube painting tutorials. For an hour or so, it was "all tarnish, all the time". My version of Clocky will be a rusty, patina'd junker of a beauty. (And then I'll buy another and make a pristine one.)

I think the night before I read all 45/46 pages of the Dakkadakka thread on the Kickstarter and experienced the rise and fall of expectations all over again - only from a different perspective where no one complained about Chronoscope's introduction or the Cloud Giantess and though I saw people responding to complaints about there being "too many dragons", I literally never saw anyone complaining about it, so I'm not sure if those posts were invisible, removed, or they were responding to people in the Kickstarter or another forum. And, as a whole, they were more focused on the mortal sin of not being as army-centric as they wanted. It was interesting.

Tonight I may read a bit of Knights of the Dinner Table, but maybe not. In a few days, I'll watch more tutorial videos on Youtube. (I don't want to burn myself out.) I especially don't want to finally get the minis and go, "MEH.", shove the box under my bed or in the closet, and forget about it because I over-anticipated everything - but I don't want to have the same reaction by not getting excited enough. It's a delicate balance.

Yeah, I periodically re-read the Kickstarter thread on this forum, and watch the slow conversion of 'Metal Über Alles' Buglips to Spilgub, Prophet of Bones. It's a thing of rare beauty and it distracts me from the cruel, deboned reality I currently inhabit.
