I can't wrap my brain around how many of these you have AND the fact that you fracking painted ALL OF THEM.

You, sir, are a god.

I am not the one who painted these, Spaztica's work is displayed here.   My work is displayed in the post "CAV Non-commission Job"   All told I have some where around 360 CAV, not including infantry, maybe 60 stands of Infantry.

This is how I store/transport my CAV.  These are Keter Cases from Lowes.  All of the yellow sections are individually removable.  As you can see here I can store 12 True Scale aircraft, but not so with the Badger or Ghast.

I can get up to 3 companies of CAV in a case, normally 1 of CAV and 2 of Mechanized.  2 of CAV if the ones stored in the top section are small enough.

They stack very well.

When I get into a hobby, I jump in running flat out.  If you notice in the first Keter Case photo in the upper left corner is the last project I was working on for BT, 24 Crabs and 24 Toros for a scenario I was planning in the Taurian Concordat to locate an abandoned, hidden Star League base full of new, never deployed Mechs.  I am going through and priming all the rest of the BT miniatures since I am in the priming mode for CAV at this time.  I am some where around 300 BT miniatures, but thanks to DUH Engineering, I got hooked on CAV.  Maybe some day I may do BT again, but that depends on the rest of the guys.

Here are newly arrived, Black Watch and White Knights C.A.S. planes from Spaztica.

The units for the 43rd. will be transitioning to the 11th. A.C.R., as Colonel Kane will be taking full control of the 43rd.

Someone's gotta play the yellow team. As far as yellow goes, that's a great one.

I am quite sure they will show up in a MercNet Report over in the CAV General forum.

As a matter of fact, eventually every unit will show up in one report or another.

These are the current returns I sent Spaztica to be painted:

It is a cross section of combined units. This is the Verdant Camo group that has been reassigned to the 11th. Armored cavalry Regiment from the 43rd. White Knights.

Next the Mustard unit, which was reassigned to the 11th. Armored Cavalry Regiment.

And of course the Blue and White, the Elite of the Black Watch.

These Dingos are filling the MercNet unit.

Brief word of introduction. I know next to nil about CAV. My current interest in it is solely from a painting perspective. With that in mind, please excuse any blunders I make.

So, I'm a painter looking for some cool stuff to paint. I see CAV's mechs. I think "I like mechs, those look cool, I think I'll grab some". Then my eyes flicker upwards towards where it says "10mm scale". I think you can see where this is going.

Long story short, how big are these? It looks like they come on 1" hexes, and $4.99-$6.99 is quite a lot to charge for a small mini (in my opinion, of course).

      Many thanks, all!

I had painted a flail as a test model, and then decided to do a group since it was an easy color scheme.
had too many tags, but it's a pillager, wolverine, flail, outlaw, and poltergeist

So I finally fell into the temptation and got my first ground based sci fi minis!(I do have spaceships.)
A Cataphract, conquerer , and a halberd by Reaper minis came in with my horsman today! Sadly the halberd is missing a piece so it may in end up being returned.
So my first order of business was a small conversion to the cataphract
      Before conversion

And the conquerer has donated the necessary parts for said conversion, specifically his smaller missile pods.

A bit of work with an exacto knife removed said weapons.

And a bit more exacto work to make a spot for the pods on the Cataphract.

Some super glue to assemble the cataphract and voila! It is time for paint!

And don’t worry about the Conquerer, I have a conversion in mind for it too. It just might not be a true mech when I’m done.......

More sci-fi stuff to come soon I hope!
And maybe just maybe I’ll try to make a backstory for these guys.
      Thankyou for looking!
