Good news Cassu, mine took 9 days to cross the "border" to North QLD from when the tracking info said it was in Australia, vs the 6 I'm hearing from folks in Brisbane. I would expect you to have similar time frames.

I'm going to go back and scour this thread, from I've seen other Aussies have suggested that there haven't been many updates before their parcel arrived? I suspect I may not see anything now until it gets to Melbourne.

Buglips, you should have PMed me you crazy Goblin! In short; no I don't remember the boat you mentioned but I suspect that's because it was before my time, I was born in 1985. I do however remember being told that I made the same trip as a bub on a boat called The Abel Tasman, which is no longer in service. As Dropbear pointed out, that route is now taken over by twin ships called The Spirit of Tasmania.

My packages were at this status for 3 and 6 days respectively until they were reported as having been processed though the sort facility in Australia. After that processing it was 2 working days until I received them. The information that they'd been processed into Australia was the last piece of information that I received before delivery (and the information about being out for delivery etc. wasn't updated until 6-8 hours after they'd been delivered).

Mine took 12 days to go from the Chicago Sorting Facility to checking in in Australia, then went trough 3 post offices before delivery 4 days later (in total from landfall)

Yay, halfway from Denton to Dallas! It makes me squee to enter "COPPELL, TX 75099" in Google Maps and see a little marker indicating roughly where my Bones are :D

 

It's a shame, though, that parcels seem to be going through Chicago, when there are direct passenger flights from Dallas to Sydney (there's a 14 hour flight I don't want to take again).
