Great Canadian Mass Shipment Bones Race

Current Status: Shipments to Canada have gone out, UPS has delivered the majority of them. Some orders (to PO Boxes) have gone out via Canada Post.

In an attempt to take this topic in a new direction, I will do my best to provide Canada relevant information to all Canadian KS supporters.

June 10th - Reaper Bryan updates the following:

Canadian Shipments have been approved - we were cleared to go, and now have to put everything on pallets to be unwrapped in Ontario and disseminated.

"Kaladrax, Wings" is a reference to the parts inside being Kaladrax AND his wings - because the body molds were listed as Kaladrax Mold 1, Kaladrax Mold 2, Kaladrax Mold 3, Kaladrax Mold 4, Kaladrax Mold 5, and Wings. Not Kaladrax Mold 6, Not Kaladrax Wings. The mold is called "Wings" on the spreadsheet. So the box is labeled with both "mold names". No, I don't understand why a part with 6 molds has 2 names, instead of either 6 names or one name, but hey, I just work here.

A Vamp box weighs in at 1.5Kg, A Kaladrax, with his wings, is 1.25 Kg. We do not yet have an average, but expect to be shipping a lot of 4-6Kg boxes.

Some were also asking about C'thulhu - C'thulhu was on the same shipment as Kaladrax, likewise Nethyrmaul. The big 3 are all in. Wyrmgear, however, is on the last (the ULTIMATE!) Truck.

I think that's everything.

Gotta run, Be excellent to each other!

May 6th - Reaper KS Update #91 was sent out and stated the following:

During the run of our Kickstarter campaign, we promised that we'd get you your stuff without you being nailed with a bunch of customs fees. To that end, we've had to apply for non-resident importer status to Canada. This way, we absorb the cost of the customs fees, and you get local delivery of your pledge packages. Unfortunately, we're caught in a bureaucratic morass of red tape. We were led to believe that we would be finished with this part of the process in December 2012, but we've been there for months now. Happily, we've received word from our customs broker that we're very close to having our application finalized, and as soon as we have the all clear, you'll start receiving your things. We're terribly sorry for the delay, but this was the only way to do it without sa ddling you with the import fees.

tl;dr: We're stuck in red tape, but the end is near, and we start duty-free shipments to Canada soon.

April 3rd - (found here) states the following:

On a positive note - I'm really hoping to have all of the International (non-canadian) Tier 1 & 2 rewards shipped by end of day Friday. We expect to have ALL Tier 1-3 rewards shipped by ReaperCon (to ALL backers - US, Canada*, and international non-Canada)

*Canadian rewards - we are waiting on the approval of our brokerage permit, which (I believe) is a government thing, and we had expected it by now, but apparently the canadian gov't is not as efficient as they would have us believe. We have a pallete ready to go, and once it is approved will have that on the way, e-mails will be sent once it is approved (we're deliberately holding the e-mails to keep people from expecting a box that is currently held up in red tape).

I hope that helps, I know it's not as positive as it could be, but we're making progress!

This topic will (hopefully?) be updated with more Canadian shipping information as it progresses.

Original Post below:

An idea I got from Suden, call it a competition, a race. First Canadian (that actually lives in Canada) to get their bones shipment wins. What do you win? all of our jealousy!

Are you a Reaper Bones Kickstarter Backer that lives in Canada? This topic is now your home! What did you order? Where do you live? Post it here!

I'm living in Peterborough, ON, and here is the stuff some crafty person will soon be able to snatch off my porch:

-- Vampire x1 $100
-- Fire Giants x1 $10
-- Frost Giants x1 $10
-- Starter Paint Set x1 $18
-- Figure Case x1 $25
-- Spider Centaurs x1 $10
-- C'thulhu x1 $10
-- Deep Dwellers x1 $7
-- Starter Set 2 x1 $18
-- Kaladrax Reborn x1 $10
-- Nethyrmaul x1 $25
-- Forces Of Nature x1 $15
-- Fire Giant Warriors x1 $10
-- Red Dragon x1 $10
-- Clockwork Dragon x1 $15
-- Demons x1 $15
-- IMEF Paint Set x1 $18
-- Undead Paint Set x1 $18
-- Frost Wyrm x1 $10
-- There Be Dragons x1 $15
-- Deathsleet x1 $10
-- Ebonwrath x1 $10

I swapped Sophie for the carrying case. The list of things I didn't get is considerably smaller: Mind your "Manor"s, Undead Giant, Mythos Monsters, Jabberwock, and the Hydra.

I hadn't looked at this list since shortly after finishing up the pledge manager, it seems I had forgotten some things. I thought I only bought 3 paint sets, but it seems I got all four. Originally, I had planned on skipping most of the dragons due to financial concerns, it was only after Reaper offered up the pay-pal add-on that I relented and grabbed them all. I had originally planned on getting Mythos Monsters, but when C'thulhu arrived, I didn't need C'thulhu light anymore.

The only one I really regret skipping is the Hydra, I'll be picking him up the moment he is available in the store. I probably could use the Mind your "Manor"s as well, but that's a much lower priority. The undead giant looks cool, but it is too large to see use in a game as it seems too tall for a giant. Definitely out of scale with the other giants in this project. Jabberwock is in the same boat, looks interesting but I can't imagine using it.

On a farm, kinda near Edmonton AB. All I got was the standard Vampire + the carying case (I kept Sophie, now I almost wonder if I shouldn't have traded her in for some of the extras, but I still want Sophie so no...but I want dragons....and I couldn't afford both.....Damnit)

Oh, Buglips, word fo advice. put the chihuahua as the lead dog, that way both it and the husky get to enjoy the view, they will be much happier that way, I' almost certain of it

I'm in Vancouver and ordered

-- Vampire x1 $150
-- Figure Case x1 $25
-- Kaladrax Reborn x1 $12
-- C'thulhu x1 $12

I really wish I had ordered a Nethyrmaul but, for whatever reason, there was no option to select it in the RPM when I confirmed my pledge, so I got the figure case instead. I'm glad that i'll probably get my stuff after my exams. I'm not sure I would be able to study effectively with a large mass of fresh minis to get to.

Well, I'm no regular, but I'll try to remember this thread when my order comes in.

Moncton, NB

Vampire Level

+ There be Dragons

+ Demons

+ Undead Giant

+ Pathfinder Red Dragon

So, if RAFM is taking care of canadian orders, do they have to wait for Reaper to ship from Texas? or are they getting their models from China?

Hi all,

Don't post much on this forum.

Patiently awaiting my order in balmy Winnipeg, Manitoba.

As to what I ordered, I honestly can't remember. All I know is that its the vampire level with almost 1 of every add on.

Just a quick ? to all the other Canadians. Has anyone heard of which shipper Reaper is using?

I am fine with USPS or RAFM. Hopefully NOT UPS. The shipping and brokerage fees are almost as much as the order.
