Great Canadian Mass Shipment Bones Race

My first post! I am happy to see that UPS showed up on my door with a very large box about an hour. I'm in Montreal, QC.

Order consisted of two Vampire 'kits' and one of each of the 'extras' plus a couple of carrying cases. Just over 20 lbs of plastic goodness!

On a different note, as a backer, how do I go about having a Bones Supporter badge added? I just created my account on the forums today but am proud to have backed Reaper and their Kickstarter.

Haha - well I've been madly tearing open packages, but here's a few shots.

I just want to say... nothing can prepare you for how big Kaladrax is... nothing. My jaw literally dropped when I opened his box.

Update from KS:

For those asking about Canada: we got a few hundred (200+) sent out before they told us we had done them wrong. I am told some will be returned but others are going as is.

Otherwise, we are in the 12s now, and have peeled off a small crew of 6 people to open the Kaladraxes and verify the legs, since we have seen a high number of complaints.

That is slowing us down, but I believe in the end it will improve the experience for everyone else.

Nice. You were one of the few that snuck through. I'd love to see a picture of the box (so I have an idea what size mine will be).

I believe the page to activate the KS badge has been deactivated. You could PM Kit and when he gets some time he may be able to hook you up with one.

Ok well I'm rounding up a little bit - it was only 27 pounds. It was 2 vampires, 3 cases, pretty well all the "big" guys, and all or double all the dragon and giants add-ons.

I know someone on here ordered 6 vampires, that's going to weigh a TON.

May we assume that there were no fees associated with receiving your shipment?

Assuming there were not I have to ask: if the early packages got through correctly, what exactly did UPS think was wrong with them?

I'd be more worried about the dreaded "follow up" letter. Just when you think it all went through without extra fees...wham, an invoice for brokerage fees.

Not that I've EVER got those...but the yellow paper was nice....

[Complete speculation]

If it was an east / west hst / gst / pst thing Reaper could be required to fill out one set of paperwork for the HST provinces and one for the GST / PST provinces.

I see. That's a new trick to me. When they hit me with the brokerage fees it was COD or no package for me.

I am very happy to say that I was not charged an extra cent when the package was delivered. When I found out how it was going to be shipped, I was concerned -- I had dealt with UPS before and brokerage charges. However, I also heard that Reaper had filled out some paperwork to alleviate this issues so I was happy to see that my package... and my wallet... came through unscathed.

I will post a couple of picks (of the box and the contents).
