> I didn't recognize the screen name >.<

I go by a lot of names on the internet. Zargon and Gobblinal are my main ones. I try to use the same avatar where I can though.

> I actually acquired a few more molds though I have yet to use them. I've been working on painting many models. I also went in on the Dwarven Forge kickstarter so Operation D&D is in full effect :D

I've got a friend that ordered some of the new ones. I haven't yet had a chance to play with any of them. Just not enough time these days! And somehow I doubt that getting MORE Bones figs is gonna change that! :)

The UPS tracker shows my order out for delivery today. I was part of the early batch and can't wait. Unfortunately I'm right near the end of the truck's route which means I won't see my Bones until later tonight.

My OCD is looking forward to sorting all them Bones!

I'm just really hoping that they have this sorted for Canada and the row before they end u.s orders. What will suck more then waiting as they ship is waiting as they don't ship

Even if US orders are delayed so non-US orders can be packed, most US backers will receive theirs before most non-US backers due to the extra shipping time.

Well, I hope this doesn't seem like bragging or anything but I guess you guys could use the info. I live in Calgary (which isn't as underwater as some of you seem to believe) and my order was one of the ones that went out before UPS clamped down, but it delivered today just fine. Whatever UPS thought the problem was, I think they imagined it.

There was somebody who said their tracker updated to Canada, but then updated back to the US. I wish I could remember where I saw it (may even be in this thread somewhere). If that person got their package, then UPS was wrong. Because that's the one that seemed like it was turned back.

Nice. I guess I wasn't so lucky, my tracking # never updated. The GCBR of 2013 is a very strange one; a handful of winners arriving weeks before the rest it seems.

Also, we're not underwater but it still looks like a blast zone on some residential roads. High River on the other hand, is still firmly at the bottom of a newly formed lake. I live on high ground thankfully.

Good to hear you're high and dry...painting minis in a flooded basement would be less than ideal. I was in Okotoks until a couple of years ago and we had our fair share of flooding fun with the Sheep River. I'm more pleased with my decision to move back to Ontario rather than buy that new build in High River than I ever was...

So, apart from a few accidental packages the canadian orders still haven't shipped out, and now we're going to have to wait until, what, monday before shipping starts up again? At this rate I just hope the bones arrive sometime before christmas, of next year.

Well my tracking number went from 'It's in Ontario' to 'It's in Calgary' to 'UPS now has possession of your package in the US' to me getting my package. The 'UPS has it in the US' one and the 'It's in Calgary' one both happened at the same time so I think that was probably just a system glitch.

Just checked my tracking number - it morphed from being in the US to being out on delivery today.

I have to get on a plane in 90 minutes. Gaaaaaah! Drive faster UPS!

Fed Ex truck and Canada Post just blew by, mocking me.

Here are two little guys for the new year: Bones vege-(or vegy-)pygmies, sculpted by Kevin Williams.
In the game lore, they are plant creatures arising from infestations of russet mold, so I wanted to incorporate rusty orange- and red-browns with the green.
(And if you're still in the holiday spirit, you can sing a rousing round of "Rusty the Moldman".)
I spent about 2-3 hours on each.
It was fun to play with a few oranges, reds, and purples, along with the greens.
I thought about adding foliage or other material on the bases, but decided to call these two done for now.
      Enjoy!
      - Derek

As you continue exploring the cathacomb, you catch sight of a ghastly humanoid creature walk in your direction. The stench of death and rot lingered around its undead forms. You recognize with horror, a minion of the dark necromancer queen Kiaransalee. This is a 77159, Ghast sculpted by James Van Schaik.

Well, finally painted him - and I'm pretty satisfied. I heavily borrowed/copied from this post: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/84520-77594-solar-angel/#comment-1788530,

It went better than I expected.

I may end up doing a bunch of image dumps - I've painted a lot this year and maybe I should just post them in sets.

This one, though, deserves its own post, I think.  I painted up the Green Dragon Hatchling from waaaay back in Bones 2, showed it to my wife, and she made some suggestions - so here you have it painted up as a Swamp Dragon from the Discworld, as kept by Lady Sybil of Ankh-Morpork.  I gave them a collar and name plate, and since they're a tame dragon, I gave them a few chew toys, including a Rolly Ball just like Rex of "Snake Discovery," as can be seen here:

      It's Krampus time! 🙂
So, the challenge here was to use the Holiday Paint Set as the main/core palette.  Which turned out to be a no challenge at all.  This figure is pretty much calling for a certain palette to be used on it.  Never the less, the fun has been had with this one 🙂
All sorts of comments are always welcomed!
