I no longer view this as a competitive race, this has become one of those charity marathons, the ones where no matter what place you come in, first, third, or dead last, everyone cheers for you and congratulates you for being awesome.

Congratulations to everyone that's gotten their package!

:wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Edit: For the record, strapped and taped.

2nd Edit: I did sign for my box but I'm also sitting less than 3m from the front door so the delivery dude didn't have time to give up and run back to the truck.

At one point, I think there was discussion that there would be two entry points: Calgary and something in Ontario. It seems like a bunch of orders made it to Ontario a day or so ago, and are now arriving in the east. Maybe the Calgary truck hasn't arrived yet, so the west still has another day or two.

(I could believe Toronto-ish being a day closer to Denton than Calgary is, so that might account for the difference.)

Calgary is also 4 hours from the border, and our border crossing is also much smaller than the Ont. crossing. It could take an extra day (or two, since the distance is also greater) to arrive in YYC for distribution. I think the roads by way of High River are running normally now, so the trucks don't have to sit in traffic forever.

Once they're there (here), the trucks will then ship off to BC, so that'll be an extra two days if you're West Coast, or 1 day if you're interior. At the absolute worst, they'll arrive next week. They shouldn't be that long though...

Mine is still scheduled for the end of today, but seeing as it is 5:30 local time and there have been no updates since it departed Concord I'm gonna assume it's still on the big truck (likely wasting time stopping in NB to drop off Bones there ::P: ).

So I'm going to the show and expecting it tomorrow. Time for giant robots vs giant monsters...
