Great Canadian Mass Shipment Bones Race

Recommended Posts

@jaryth000 - you should update the first post to indicate that UPS deliveries to Western Canada are now getting through. And, if anyone knows (Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?) the status for Canadian's with PO Boxes and such which Reaper had to send by Canada Post.

Updated the post with this info. No idea about the status of the Canada Post stuff.

Can anyone recommend type of bruses / other gear to get which would be obtainable at an Opus art supply shop? I tried searching the forums but couldn't find much on the topic of brushes.

I went on this very quest for supplies (although the topic name does not imply it).

You can follow my quest here:

On the second page you can see Darsc Zacal mention Opus, which in the end I did end up ordering from, very good customer support, great products! (once again you can see more on the second page of that topic). Hope it helps!

Massive amount of images incoming:

Man we can't get them so there is no way to pass it on, much less in writing. After this is over we will do a vid or update and discuss this adventure further. All I can say is if you think this indus

I'm of two minds about it, and that's because of all the fun I have in this community.   On the one hand, I'm super greedy to get my Bones. Like, yesterday. I'm all prepped, ready to go, I've even

I'm in the "still waiting" category, with a PO box number for Burns Lake, BC. Apparently the truck was supposed to have left on the 30th to start wending its way to the border, but I haven't had any confirmation that it actually left. From there, we were told another 1 to 2 weeks after hitting the border, so I'm starting to think I won't see them until school starts up again in September (ie, just in time to be back at work). :(

I find ordering online from Dick Blick to be cheaper than Opus or any local arts store (in vancouver at least), even with shipping.

Thanks - I will look into this place! Opus is brutally expensive.

Also thanks to everyone else for suggestions :)

Soooo...

Has anyone in Canada with a PO Box shipping address received either:

A) Their Kickstarter package

or

B) Any confirmation that the packages were actually shipped out to Canada on July 30th

Just curious, as I am still waiting for my (smallish) Kickstarter order while a lot of the ROW backers gleefully play with theirs...

Vile :

"The last of the Canadian shipments have already shipped. They will not have tracking because they did not get on the original UPS truck. They will now be driven up to the Canadian border and drop into the Canadian mail system so there still will not be any customs fees associated with these packages.

It might take a week to drive up there and get into mail system, then however long it takes to Canadian Post to deliver. We are unfamiliar with the time it takes Canadian Post to deliver so we can not speculate on delivery times.

Hopefully you are more familiar....maybe a 2 week time frame from today?" ~

I decided to do the Mystic Circle so I could do all kinds of occult and folk horror scenarios.
Currently "cooking" in the utility sink. The base parts were pretty warped. I may glue them to some foamcore for a little extra stability, but mostly traced, because I need to keep them " modular" for storage (the arches, I think they still qualify as dolmens, but I forget, will get pulled on and off. Unless it really doesn't work ).

This will likely be an all June project, because I had an unexpected computer death and porch reno and need to deal with that.

Some quick paints for the table. The pirate is a good demonstration of why I don't try sculpting - in addition he had a lot of casting problems in his legs and feet, so.... he will do but I kind of cringe. The shroud was a very quick paint - I cut the hands off, because it seemed more creepy that way

More from May - the cultist pair 77518. I also added in my other recently painted pair (77351) with cirlce and I think they make a nice grouping.

My first time painting a chibi figure.  Probably not the last.  Painting this made me feel happy.

My 3 year old had been exploring my basement paintbstation and fallen in love with the "elephant. " Yesterday I glued and primed it for painting. About 60% got covered in rainbow splotches of  craft paint
before child abandoned the project to play with recently varnished terrain.

I smoothed out all the blobs of paint to vaguely cover everything in a greenish/pinkish/brownish grey.

We may paint more, or else I'll paint some eyes and seal it.
