Tranquil Ape
Wanted to ask a question about sunlight... I am re-arranging the area where I paint and my desk is now right in front of a window... as are my paints... They are pretty much shielded from direct sunlight however. will they still dry out? ShadowRaven
My work area is in much the same situation. The paints should be okay so long as they aren't in direct sunlight, and the bottles are sealed properly. I've only ever had a few dry out completly on me, and my desk has been where it is for a long while.
EngineerJeff
I think it isnt so much sunlight as the issue persay, as extremes in temperature. Extreme cold and heat will help contribute to the degredation of your paints, so store them in a temperate climate.
Inarah
If they are not stored in direct sunlight they should be fine. Leaving them in a windowsill can, over time, ruin them.
Tranquil Ape
yea, i ended up mounting the rack to the wall adjacent to the window so that it doesnt get any of that light...didnt want to risk it
Pingo
As far as I know, all of Reaper's paints are mixed from permanent artist's pigments which should not fade. I agree that temperature fluctuation near a window could cause problems.
