dispatchdave
My original thought was the Dungeon Attack rats, because they seemed like they'd be easy, and there are a bunch of them so I can afford to mess up a few with bad paint jobs while I learn. But looking at them compared to the rat in the kit, the little DA rats have almost no detail or texture to them. There's no real fur texture, no teeth sticking out, etc. There's really very little there to paint. Now I'm thinking that might make them harder, not easier, since there's no details to work with.... Try slapping on a base coat to one, then drybrush it. The texture should* be there. One problem with unpainted Bones is that they are ever so slightly translucent, so light tends to feather out (for lack of a better phrase) at the edges. It looks like there's no detail, but once you start slinging paint on to 'em the detail shows up. -DD *I haven't pulled mine out to verify

CaptainPete
Okay, quick question: Where do you find your order number? Is it the number under the barcode on your shipping invoice or is it in an email somewhere? I want to send my email about my missing/miscast Bones, but they want an order number... cmorse
Its the number under the bar code.
Unruly
It should be on the invoice, so my guess is that it's the number under the barcode on that. Unless you're meaning the number under the barcode on the shipping label, in which case that's just the tracking number.

Thankfully, I'm only missing one mini and have one miscast. EDIT: some of you demanded pictures. I tried to get my minions to take some close-ups but they 'needed' to eat... Then we all forgot about it when they got back. I'll try again next week. CaptainPete
I'm really looking forward to painting up that one. He's very cool looking in person. Even if his cables aren't all there.

They've got more texture than you'd think from looking at the unpainted figures. Not a lot mind you, but there's enough to get a decent result out of 'Base - wash - drybrush'. I painted mine at the same time I did the Rat from L2PK1, and with the same instructions from the kits they came up OK. If you take the trouble to go through and do some highlighting they look pretty good at tabletop distance. They're not really something I'd use as a display piece, but they're a decent option for a first figure to paint from the Vampire kit.
ObsidianCrane
Btw with models as finely detailed as the little rats I recommend base-drybrush-wash as the painting order. :)
Dr.Bedlam
Picked up my Vampire box at the convention. Finally got around to inventorying it.Contains everything except Mr. Bones, for some reason. Need to ask someone about that in the morning....No miscasts, no hassles, though. Several figures ARE bent, but a few minutes with a cup of hot water will fix that. Now I just get to sit on my hands and wait for dragons and Cthulhu to ship....
snitchythedog
Have there been any updates as to where they are in the shipping process. Last I heard it was Vampire + small stuff. I have quickly checked the rest of this post and did not see anything. I know they are stopped for Reaper con but IwannaIwannaIwanna my bones. Snitchy sends.
