Finished a Reaper mini at last (actually there will be a few this month) 02514 Kang, Half-Orc.

I've painted him up for use as a ranger, barbarian or fighter and my youngest helped with selection of base decoration. :)

Updated with better pictures, that make it easier to see the colours etc.

Finally got some painting done today and finished 02253: Water Elemental.

The elemental has a base colour of Marine Teal. This was washed with a Marine Teal & Brilliant Blue for the lower half and then Marine Teal and Pale Green for the top half while the lower half was wet to allow blending. Then details were painted with Pure White, then more highlights were added with Pale Green with a touch of Ashen Blue and Pure White. Finally the edges were painted with Pure White and there was a light drybrush of Pearl White was applied to the model to give it some shine.

First diorama I've done since I've been I was ill this winter.  Although I have been doing a lot of reminiscing and wishing, which is what this piece is about.  I have at least one  of all the Burrows & Badgers range from Oathsworn and one of the parts I like is thst ao many or their miniatures can be used for non-dnd or domestic scenes.
I also finally found a use for the stable piece from the Reaper nativity scene.  I built an actual stable for that sp I had thst bit left over and it worked pretty well here.
I could explain it but I'm hoping the piece speaks for itself.  Hope you.all enjoy

This was a nightmarish project that I shelved for years after I had first put her together. Being metal I didn't want to try and attach the wings after it was painted so assembled all the parts of the dragon together. I wanted a blue dragon and first went with Prussian Blue, huge mistake as it looked awful and trying to paint that heavy thing in hand was a...     ...so it got shelved until now. It's my second dragon of any size (painted baby dragon as PC followers). but basically really my first as the other dragon I painted was the Asgard Dragon (twice the size of this weighting over 2 lbs. of lead) in the 80's done in metalic's where I hadn't any idea what I was doing, later striped and sold the model.

She was in one of my WIP threads where I wanted to see how dark armor would look for 3000 Kyra and Lavarath. Since I finally finished that nightmarish project thgought I'd finish her up and use as Kyra on foot.

Hello and good evening all you Reaper Maniacs!
So here's a few miniatures I've been meaning to paint but just haven't gotten around to them, you know, too many minis, not enough time.  But I did finally get around to these, which are pretty fun,  Squidmen with Goo Guns, sculpted by Tom Meier when he had the company Thunderbolt Mountains.  These are miniatures that his son had designed.

and here they are as the actual group/blister pack they come in:
Anyhoos, quite enjoyable and reasonably simple to paint, hope you guys and gals all enjoy!

One of the old school figures I still really love.  I started buying them back in the mid 70s, at Len's Hobby Center in Astoria.  This was a more recent acquisition, from some nice lady down in Texas.  The snowy base was a last minute epiphany

C&C are very welcome.  I'm not too happy with the awkwardness of the cloth - it needed a lot more blending.  I consider it a snapshot of "that time I was focusing on getting more daring with contrast, but without the blending skills to pull it off"!
