Jen
I got the blood vestals because I find them hilariously ridiculous. Also good for practicing skin tones if that's what you need. Mercius
Your work is getting better every mini. Excellent job here and the highlights really pop!
Furongian
I really like the armour and weapons, and the highlights in her hair are really well done. The flesh also looks great; I always have a difficult time shading and highlighting female flesh, probably because the curves are gentler than the more angular, rippling muscles of males. But, where this really shines, is in the face: the eyes are expressive, and the make-up (lips, eye-shadow, and cheek blush) are exceptional. I think that if you applied dark lining around the armour/flesh boundaries, it would really make this miniature pop and provide and excellent finishing touch.
Dadcubed
Very impressive armour and weapons. A good job :)
Paheej
I think Furongian comment's nailed it. Did you use any tutorial or specific reference for painting the face? The way you did the face - I don't believe I've seen it before.
smokingwreckage
You're right, those are so ridiculous they shoot right past stupid, back into serious, and back out into stupid. Great work on them though!
Cassu
Oh wow, great work on the flesh tones. Her make-up is especially beautiful. Her hair is also really lovely, it flows well down her back. Such wonderful use of shadows.
catdancer
A beautiful figure that is excellently done. I love everything you did...your colors, tones, shading and both weapon & hair execution...May I ask what figure this is?

I would be a touch concerned going into battle myself with all that lovely armour on.... Edited April 20, 2013 by kay13
Jen
I think Furongian comment's nailed it. Did you use any tutorial or specific reference for painting the face? The way you did the face - I don't believe I've seen it before. Nope, no specific tutorial. I did the face as I normally would, then glazed in color for the blush and eye shadow. A beautiful figure that is excellently done. I love everything you did...your colors, tones, shading and both weapon & hair execution...May I ask what figure this is? It is part of the Blood Vestals Command Group pack by Raging Heroes.
Pingo
You owe me a new keyboard. She is ludicrous. I am very impressed at how you painted her flesh looking soft, as if her armor were dimpling it. I went and had a look at the original figure and none of that is there. It's sculpted rock-hard. All the softness is in your painting job. A very impressive feat.
