Kultus
Well I guess after reading all this I am going to have to stop lurking in the forums and go to Reapercon next year. I just started painting again so hopefully by then I won't truly suck at it like I feel I do now. I feel the same way, only I'm just getting into painting. The bad part though is that all of this has me working on a new minatures game that fits in the fantasy world I'm creating. Stupid game design brain...
Bonwirn
Listen, I'm halfway to booking an immediate overnight flight on my credit card just at the mention of the magic words Pro Paint. *shows up* *buys paints* "Can't stay! Nice looking at your faces!" *goes to airport* Best $3,000 ever spent. Would you happen to need... Pro Paints... 19234 Ocean Blue, 19220 Kilt Green, 19208 Salamander Orange, or 19061 Weathered Brown? chaosscorpion
Completed my first class Weathering with Martin Jones. Wandered over to the trade-in table pulling out a couple bit while Shakandara was hoping to find all of the pieces of a Takhisis. Entered if painted works. Wandered over for Sonic and was fortunate to meet and have lunch with Tre Manor. Now what to move on to next?
Bonwirn
Someone send EMS to Buglips place.... I seem to have overloaded him a bit with the weathered brown Pro Paint trap and he's fainted.
buglips*the*goblin
Nah. Thanks for checking, though. Those SKUs are New Pro Paint, and don't give me The Madness like Old Pro Paint. (unless you already paid for em - I won't leave ya hangin)
Bonwirn
Nope, didn't buy them. On the shelf at the FLGS. So, just how do you tell "old" Pro Paint from "new" Pro Paint? They were in glass bottles with a black twist off lid. Edited April 19, 2013 by Bonwirn
buglips*the*goblin
OPP has a round label on the cap and a SKU like 18043. NPP has the label wrapped around the pot and a SKU like 19108.

Adrift
So today has been spent playing in a 4-hour pathfinder event, run by the lovely Dallas (real name). Since then, I've been painting my Bones gargoyle and debating what to paint next while meeting all manner of new people. At 7:30, Bryan is going to have a KS discussion session which we're all looking forward to!!

Hibou
Years ago GW took a spincasting machine along to GamesDay in Birmingham UK and were manufacturing/packaging the GamesDay miniatures there and then, it was the Ork back when they had the short-lived game about Ork tribes fighting one another, the name of which escapes me right now. It was quite interesting to see. The game you are talking about there sounds like Gorkamorka http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorkamorka That would have been really cool. I just got to buy their mini that was only available at that location and had a very nice meal at Bugman's Bar. dispatchdave
@Buglips, the Pro Paints up for sell are all the new ones (side label). The ones by Sonic Mike on the display board is old PP, and yes, there is one Fairy Blush there. Alas for you. On the upside, I do have a few of the old RPP's at home. I will gladly send them to you. -DD EDIT: Also, Bonwirn, I spent all day today in a class or playing games, so did not dig through the boneyard. I'll take your list with me tomorrow. I did end up getting a new CAV mech for playing in the CAV:SO demo. :D -Dave Edited April 20, 2013 by dispatchdave
The Inner Geek
Had fun at the con today hanging with local friends, and meeting new ones. I look forward to getting to hang out again tomorrow. It was super fun and I didn't really "do" much, I can only imagine how much fun it would be for those folks who are all 'participatey'.
