No Bones yet.

Origins is NOT going to interfere. Bryan has said that he's only going to go to Origins at all if the KS shipments are all completed by then.

Bryan will not go if they are not done shipping. However, Reaper the company will be going regardless, setting up a full booth, and manning it for the entire show.

The fact that this is a known contingency would be surprising to Kickstarter folks that aren't closely following the forums.

Unless the weather in Florida regularly exceeds several hundred degrees, I think you're going to be okay.

I know they won't full-on melt, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some additional warping to contend with, depending on how everything sits in the package(s). But that just means more time to familiarize myself with my new Bones horde during the "corrective phase", right?

Well, that's probably true. But I think you're safe from having your several hundred Bones become one very large Bone.

I've got to agree with the people saying that 'Updates would be nice'. I don't think updating every day is necessary, but a quick note on a weekly basis would be good. Doesn't have to have numbers, but just reassuring people that the spice Bones will flow would be a good idea.

Without information, people are starting to speculate again. Especially on the Canada situation.

Long time listener, first time caller (I signed up because I couldn't keep track of all the threads I was following anymore).

As a complete beginner (I haven't painted a mini in my life), I've reached the point that I almost appreciate the delay. I've had more time to read, and come to the conclusion that I should order a L2PK (or 5) to get myself ready for the mountain of plastic that will, at some point, land on my porch.

Also, I love the loan analogy.

For a complete beginer, I recommend only L2PK 1 and 2 at first. They are great places to start from, and give you help on developing the most important of skills. Oh yeah, and welcome aboard. Stick around, post more, join the madness

My "or 5" was based on comments from some others that an art background can be helpful with getting up to speed. I've been painting for over a decade, but not on minis, so "complete" may have been an unintentional misdirect. Worst case scenario, I end up with a pile of bonus paint and value brushes along with a few metals I'm not ready for yet. I'm comfortable with that risk.

It really bugs me that the Bones Shipment Tracking thread hasn't been updated in a while. Reaperbryan also hasn't posted in a few days. I hope that just means he is extra busy shipping 100's of orders every day.

Wow even if they ship 100 a day that is only 1000 in 10 days. By the end of may that's only 3000/18000 backers fulfilled. Depressing... and I'm pretty sure I'll be in the last 1% to be shipped. Even more depressing. *sigh*

I don't mean to complain. Just anxious I guess. xP

I'm pretty sure they're shipping WAY more than 100/day. Given an eight-hour workday, that's just one package every five minutes. That might be reasonable for one worker, but they have every available hand on deck for KS shipping.

Also, the shipping thread is dependent on people reporting in. If they don't say they got a notice, there's nothing to update.

Basically no news is good news. When Reaper knows something firm about outstanding issues (like the status of Canadian shipping) then they'll let us know. They'll also let us know if something disastrous occurs.

In the meantime, quiet suggests things are proceeding to plan.

I put in an order for non-Bones miniatures recently and it was sent to me with the usual speed and professionalism. So I'm sure they are working just as diligently on continuing to ship out tons of Kickstarter Bones every day. I too wish for an update, but only to satisfy my curiosity of where they are at in the process. I don't doubt it's moving as quickly as they can humanly make it happen.

We are going on holidays at the start of June and being in Australia with a reasonably complicated order, I would expect to see the Vampire + extra packages arrive after then.

My wife (the real miniature painter in the house) suggested we arrange to have all our incoming mail held at our local post office while we were away.

Works for me, as I am also expecting my Traveller 5 package as well.

Always a good idea to have your mail held while you are on holiday. Not sure if you are in a place that gets daily newspapers delivered or not, but canceling those for the duration is also a good idea. It keeps the house from looking quite so empty, which in turn encourages thieves if they suspect you are not home, or going to be home.

Yeah, I would rather them focus on getting everything shipped, rather than adding the additional burden of giving us regular reports of "everything is proceeding as expected". With the number of KS shipments involved (not to mention any regular shipments going out), that could add up to a significant amount of time spent reporting vs. working if you look at the total expected time frame for the KS shipments... ::o:
