No Bones yet.

And, as just revealed, they haven't received the non-vamp add-ons, which explains why the shipping stopped when it did. Sounds like everything that can be shipped with nothing more than a warehouse of vampires has been shipped.

And apparently a lot faster and more efficiently than the Reaper folks expected, too.

Which bodes well for when they do finally get the Chinese shipments.

(Lets loose a tiny "argh" on Reaper's behalf, then goes back to being patient)

"Now we're waiting on shipment two from China. These containers include many of the larger add-ons...

...We've shipped all we can and are waiting for more stuff from China so we can send out the rest."

I suspected as much when things went completely quiet for weeks. I'm glad they've confirmed that they don't actually have the stuff yet.

Yeah, when shipping seemed to have stopped for weeks I figured it was one of two things:

1. Not everything had come in from the manufacturer.

2. They had miscalculated the cost of shipping and we're slowing down to figure things out.

So, I was relieved to hear it was #1.

I recall Bryan mentioning that he was worried a shipment (of about 2 million figs, IIRC) would come in during the Con. Of course, I offered to help unload should that happen....

I didn't say anything before because my memory can be faulty, and didn't want to start idle speculation/internet rumors.

Yes, when there were no signs of Options being shipped and non KS orders from Reaper were being processed at normal speeds (ie fast) I also suspected that there were more Bones in transit. Bryan did hint at that but didn't say outright that KS shipping would be effected by shipments still to arrive.

On the bright side, the Canadian snarl up doesn't look like it will much delay those of you with complex pledges. We are all in the same boat (the slow boat from China).

This does raise a couple questions. Not trying to be mean here, but how many shipments do we have to wait for before reaper has everything? The fact that they didn't have everything came as a bit of a shock since I was under the impression that they had everything and was shipping it out based on complexity, not based on availability. IMHO this update should have been sent out in the beginning when they started shipping , not when they have run out of stuff to ship. Needless to say, I am a little irritated. I can only imagine how furious a lot of people might be at the moment.

The other question is, what is the status of the second wave? Is it on the boat at sea? In customs? On a truck on its way to Denton?

Two things -

One, I'm amazed at the patience and support the backers of this KS have. Most other KS would be receiving death threats about now.

Two, this isn't too surprising. They mentioned not having everything in hand before shipping even started.

I figured #1 wouldn't be the case since it contradicts the earlier statement that they weren't going to ship anything until they could ship everything. I'm glad they tossed the earlier plan though. Even if my stuff isn't shipping until later it would have been silly to be still sitting on everything that could have already gone.

Note to Reaper; Look at the lack of rage in all these posts. Unavoidable issues generally are better received than no info at all.

Update #91 might not have been the best of news [hooray for customs!], but at least now we can say "Clue x1 GET!" to the tune of Final Fantasy's victory fanfare. Thanks Ed!

This is a good point, but I must temper it by saying some of that is due to the nature of the Reaper fanbase. If Soda Pop had made this announcement (they made a similar one a bit back), it would not be so cordial.

I imagine Reaper, having limited storage space, was hoping for shipments from China to come in one end while they shipped everything they could out the other. Unfortunately, the Chinese shipments haven't kept up.

Oddly enough, I feel sort of sorry for the headaches the folks at Reaper have been having about this behind the scenes.

From the bolded part of Update #91 below it sounds like the shipment is hung up in US customs right now.

Now we're waiting on shipment two from China. These containers include many of the larger add-ons. We have documentation that we will receive them any day. As soon as we do, we'll continue fulfilling the orders that include the items that arrive in this wave of containers. We didn't expect to go so fast with the first wave, and China took longer to ship wave two than originally promised.

You know, I have to applaud Reaper for doing the very best that they could. If a 3rd of the KS Bones are stil on the water* and they have been breaking down Vampire boxes so that they could ship extras, then that's a lot of extra work. I think everyone understands that delays in shipping and customs are out of Reaper's control, so hats off to them for doing the best that they can. I'm sure that they have held off stating that they were waiting on a shipment hoping that it would roll in, but it's been a while with no action now so it looks like Ed felt he had to make a statement.

*DispatchDave was told by Bryan that 2 million Bones were outstanding and Bryan has previously said that 6 million were ordered.

Yeah, I kind of expected it'd be something like this. We haven't seen any shipments confirmed since ReaperCon (the stuff that has arrived is Vampire boxes bought at conventions AFAIK), and the only real reason for Reaper not to give us an update is if they were waiting for something themselves.

C'est la vie! Now that I know what's going on, I can stop obsessively checking the forums, kickstarters, Facebook, twitter feeds, and carved stone tablets for news!

Thanks for the update Reaper, it is greatly appreciated.

Good to get an update, even if it is that things are delayed. As much as I wanted to be optimistic, the realist in me assumed that without an announcement of "Okay, we're shipping Kickstarter packages again" after ReaperCon that it hadn't actually happened yet. Particularly since the stickied post did state that they were committed to getting everything out before Origins, but didn't actually state that they were currently shipping.

*shrug* Now that I know I can go back to being patient. :)
