Where'd you get those paint racks?

Those where made by hand. Each "Step/Level" contains 3 rows (Triad) of 18 (3 * 18 = 54) with four steps making the single rack (4*54= 216) . Coincidentally, there are 216 paints in the Master Series Line :wow:

The left side is all the HD and Vampire and Kickstarter sets with some Vallejo Model game Air Paints and inks.

I found the pattern at http://www.dndlead.com/Painting/Paints.htm

Ohh and to add if you have a Drill press it only cost me at most $20 to make. I added the shelving to make space between the levels so I can put the labels of the paint on the front as a quick reference

21" long though, that's a LOT of desk real-estate.

Being over 6' I find there is far less love for tall people.  For me it darn near perfect.  My wife is only 5' 5', and looked at me and said, "You may need a step to reach the top shelf".  I then picked up the cans of spray paint, and set them on the top shelf, stating "The only way the boys could get there hands on them now; would be to stand on the top of my paint desk".  My wife looked at me, shook her head, and said it wasn't right that I could reach that shelf.   ::P:

I'm sure if you ask Talespinner he'll tell you that there is no tall people love out there.  If you are smaller than avg you will still fit inside the space provided. If you are taller than average, your head will be brushing the ceiling, have to have a hole cut for your head to stick out of, or you curl up as much as you can and wind up with a crick in your neck.   :ik_oops:

Yes, but you can always cut it down to fit your needs. Without the extra height added for labels you could get away with a total space of W 21" x D 14" H 6". Like I said I built this to hold the entire set. But if your looking for smaller you could always reduce to size. Its the best way I have found to get the most paints in a single area without taking up more space.

As a Side note, when compared to what TGJ had at the show I had more space per cubic inch then what they had.

I made something similar a couple of years ago mounted as a caddy for a portable paint station. So why wasn't i brilliant enough to drill the holes to different depths to be able to tier the paints...such a simple udea it is brilliant.

On one of my racks i did make a shallow hole that would fit bigger diameter GW paints and then drilled a deeper smaller hole in the middle for dropper bottles to give me flexibility as i use up the GW and P3 paints.

Just starting back to painting so its not elaborate and small, but figured since y'all showing what ya have I figured I would put up a pic of my little cubby hole. Its in my hallway, as I live in a small apt.

The door goes to my utility closet which I only go into once a year or so.

Small but it works. Got the idea for the peg board from one of you guy's previous post. Good idea and frees up some table space.

My painting area.

My paints (sorry, Army painter with supporting products from Reaper, GW, and Vallejo)

And a "panoramic" view of my entire room. Mostly poorly lit. Before I got back into painting, it served solely as my computer room.

My setup is a nerds delight. =D

*There's a reason any picture I'll take will involve some kind of wiring.

Ah yes, neat and tidy. More meaningless man-word gibberish.

This is how a goblin does it!

ETA: If you look at the larger image, to the right between the popcorn tub and the villains boxe set . . . you can see Takhisis chilling out waiting for more work.

I have to ask. Is that "popcorn" container for basing materials? I am literally using the exact same one.

Oh wow. I really necro'ed this one. Didn't realize it was that old.  :wow:
