My 'in progress' workarea...

In fact, the Wanhao i3 on the top shelf is busy printing a tablet holder for mounting under one of the shelves:

The paint is mostly collected in my 'Tower of Art' project... Still need to pring some endcaps for that.

I'm planning some drawers for tools and assorted materials, but that has to wait until I can free up the garage and get to my CnC mill.

Shelves and verticals are 19mm 'shelving plates', which are available in all kinds of sizes.

The tabletop is from a desk I scavenged from the dumpster outside the office. The surface is kind of shot, but it's solid, and had the nice cut.

Other items of interest is the 3D scanner also on the top shelf, the battery welder and Logic Analyzer on the shelf underneath.

When I get my cleaning/rearranging done, my art area will consist of two craft tables, a computer desk, a drafting table, three 6' shelves, and a drawer unit or three.

So in other words, Malfactus will be a Great Grand father when Ary gets organized....

Actually, all I need is the drafting table, two shelves, and another drawer unit. I have everything else.  ::P:

Oh, and the clean space. That actually isn't that far off because I need to clean in order to move the kids stuff around and get them their new beds with the tax return.

My actual painting location is still the same as in my previous post. But my better half and I decided that we'd be staying in this apartment for another year! Since I was 16, I've never stayed in one place for more than a year before, it's going to be really nice. ^_^

So I've added a board on the wall with my goals and dreams, along with some inspiration - things from friends! And my Dobies from my childhood, of course.

The little cabinet on the right is a used perfume box I found - my finished minis are in there.

And now I have my own sculpting section! This is the other half of the table.

On the right, I have my Okami "Art to Go" bag - I have a pencil, eraser, pen, and teeny sketchbook in there!

The statue is a World of Warcraft figure I'm cleaning up - after hanging out with you guys, I see terrible mold lines and paint jobs everywhere! ::P:

My daily sketches are in the hardback book.

The little tiles can be easily placed in the oven for baking polymer clay. The big tile is my workspace! I have all my sculpting materials and tools in the drawers.

The big light was a birthday present from my in-laws.

The tiny, sleeping, white dragon is a polymer sculpture I got from Becca Golins a long time ago - gotta have a masterpiece to look at for inspiration!

Sculpt deer! Yes!

I should take a cring-worthy pic of my den currently. I began re-organizing it to take possession of a nice wooden desk from work. Took delivery and broke my toe a few days later. So the contents of an old desk plus the contents of my temporary paint setup ended up all over the den...

Then I put in a drafting table. And the side desk for my new desk doesn't fit in the corner properly.

It's a huuuuge mess right now.

Yea..... I have a paint den that is a current mess.   I recently purchased a couple of Impudent mortal painting racks to help with the paints.  Still need a few more, didn't realize how much paint I actually had.  My reaper caddies are being tuned into bits bins for basing stuff.  Then is should be maybe 1/4 organized.  Sigh, I really should start that 20 mins a day cleaning a read somewhere online.  Maybe by next year I will have stuff cleaned and organized.

Combining the "20 minutes a day" idea with the "pick up a piece of clutter every time you leave the room" idea could make for some decent progress. The latter is how I keep my car at least mostly decluttered. (The kids sure seem to have the opposite goal)

I'll have to post up my new hobby/game room next month once the house is ready to be moved into and I start to get the room organized. I have a thread right now that I opened the other day about organizational ideas for storing unpainted minis. Right now I'm leaning towards apothecary cabinets or stackable plastic bins on shelving.
