Clothespin Battleships with my 3y/o

Recommended Posts

My 3y/o boy and I turned three bags of clothespins into battleships this week. They're ready to paint, so I thought I'd toss some WIPs your way:

Parts and such - I let him use the superglue if my hand was on the bottle too. White glue was not strong enough.

These are assembled as prototypes - the actual fleets are 16 models each.

The guns, landing strips, and planes are added (I did this part) and they're ready to paint.

Looking at the landing strips on that carrier...is that correction tape? Even if it isn't, this strikes.me as a potentially awesome way to put stripes on smooth roadway. I will have to experiment.

These ships are awesome.

Coolest. Clothespins. EVER.

I'm so going to steal borrow this idea for a project with my son when he's older. Can't wait to see more!
