Is it problematic in Warlord to use round bases? I dont like square ones but notice the rules are really written to fit square bases.

Depends on your definition of "problematic"; yes, there are some game-balance items that are tied to the size and shape of a base. Most of them probably won't be noticed in casual play, especially against an opponent with their models also mounted on round bases. If you are looking for a more detailed explanation of why square vs. round matters in Warlord, move back up to either the "Warlord General Discussion" or "Warlord Rules Discussion" sub-forum levels, and use the search box in the upper right hand corner to search for "round bases". Both will yield numerous hits to threads about this topic. In particular, check out the ones that discuss AoE's, LoS, and interactions with particular SAs.
