Teskal
Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic yafgc is one of my absolutely favorite. First time I read it, I was laying a lot of time laughing on the floor. But not only the yokes are cool. I had always mixed emotions about the alignment system. All this fantasy creatures living and working together is what I really loved. I loved most the story part "Enter the Keeper", I played the Computer game and it was sooo cool to see it happen in a comic. I think little AD&D (or D&D) experience is helpful, but not necessary. If I ever start a Fantasy RPG again, I want the world little more like this one, instead like the standard D&D worlds! WARNING! Nudity included! Only breasts are visible, but some people will not like it. Girl Genius I read most of it and I'm excited to proceed soon after I read yafgc again. I always loved steampunk (and clockpunk) and was really enyoyed to find a comic with this theme. Looking For Group Another cool comic, didn't read much. I think it is WOW related, but still like it. WARNING! Nud... no, strong violance and splatter Goblins I read only the first year of this comic and need to proceed soon. Knowledge about (A)D&D or other Role-Playing Game is necessary! I like how the goblins get their names and that they don't want to by cannon fodder for RPG characters anymore. WARNING! Strong violance and splatter against "evil" creatures included. Order of the Stick Didn't read much of this comic. I liked it, but never continued to read. It is like Goblins about RPG, mostly about D&D. It starts with an update of the characters from AD&D to D&D. Another webcomic is DorkTower, but I never read much of it. --- What I like to know is which webcomics did you read and liked? Do you know any Steampunk Webcomics? I really want more Steampunk! I really hope there would be more fantasy webcomics, which are not always making yokes agains RGP, like Goblins, OotS or DorkTower. Pingo
The Order of the Stick is awesome. Rich Burlew has a strong knowledge of D&D mechanics, a wicked sense of humor, and a surprisingly deep approach. His deceptively simple stick figure art conveys a lot of emotion and detail without getting bogged down. The clean stick figure line drawings allow him to touch on some truly horrifying situations without making them visually unbearable. He has depicted things onscreen that would outdo the worst Alan Moore comics, and they work better as stick figures than realistic depictions would do. While having a good joke in nearly every strip, his characters have undergone tragedy, change and growth, intelligent conversations, blossoming love, terrible errors of judgement, and a desperate overarching quest to stop the destruction of the world.
redambrosia
+1 for Order of the Stick. Love that comic (though I stopped reading most web comics a while ago). One I do still read is Dungeon Hordes on deviantArt. http://dungeonhordes.deviantart.com/ They update just about everyday. It's a weird mash up of old video games and tabletop RPG. And ridiculous humour.
Unruly
XKCD - Everyone should know this one. A lot of math/science/tech humor. Stick figure art most of the time, but when Randal decides to bust out something interesting he knocks it out of the park. Penny-Arcade - Again, everyone should know this one. All sorts of gaming jokes, from tabletop to video, as well as a bunch of crap they just feel like doing at times. Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - More science/math jokes. Quite a few jokes about sex/sexuality/penises, but I don't think it's ever gone into nudity(though it does come close at times. Also, more than a few anti-religion jokes, so you've been warned if you get offended about that kind of thing. Atland - Fantasy comic. Some dirty jokes, and great artwork. No nudity that I can remember. Women tend to lean more towards the eye-candy end of the spectrum in this one in terms of how they're drawn. Character-wise they're often the smartest and most sane of everyone involved. Lots of gore when they're fighting. It's currently "finished" though the author has said he may come back to it in time. Author is Nate Piekos Berserker's Daughter - Rather new, but it's also done by Nate Piekos. It's his current webcomic project. So far it's about a young girl, the eponymous berserker's daughter, and her adventures with a troll. Much more "childish" so far, compared to Atland, and not quite an ongoing storyline. Questionable Content - Despite the name, none of the content is really that questionable. A comic about a bunch of people living in Boston(I think) and they're all hipster/indie types. Manly Guys Doing Manly Things - Pure awesome. A parody of pretty much every "manly" video game or movie guy. There's also webcomic by the name of Oglaf, which I won't provide a link to. It is often NSFW, is very dirty, and also quite often hilarious. And another one called Go Get a Roomie, which is also NSFW at times. If you want to read them, I'll let you google them and find the links yourself.
SaintRigger
I've got a soft spot for Plastic Dudesmen and Larry Leadhead. The thing about Larry is that unless you are a grognard, it isn't funny. If you are, it hits too close to home. ;)
CashWiley
http://pbfcomics.com/ is my absolute favorite. I also like Oglaf a lot, but I'm not linking it. You've been warned.
mistergreenwood
http://darthsanddroids.net/ A nice mix of rpg and Star Wars. Love it!
ksera
http://girlswithslingshots.com some mature themes, but almost all sfw http://gingerhaze.com/nimona About a "bad guy" and a shape shifter http://hemlock.smackjeeves.com/ witches and magic http://kafkaskoffee.com/ Rutabaga: Adventure Chef http://kafkaskoffee.com/wp/?webcomic_post=tombpage0-0cd5666 Same artist as above, really cool story (and it's completed) Edited May 20, 2013 by ksera
pocketcthulhu
http://pbfcomics.com/ is my absolute favorite. I also like Oglaf a lot, but I'm not linking it. You've been warned. I stumbled into oglaf from questionable content and I laughed so much I almost died. normally I read Qc Xkcd goblins Ctrl alt delete looking for group and oglaf when I remember to check it. I've read a Lot of them but these are the only ones I keep up with. Edited May 20, 2013 by pocketcthulhu
CashWiley
The art in Oglaf is great, but the content is brought to you by my avatard.
MonkeySloth
I pretty much only read three: Penny Arcade Sam and Fuzzy (www.samandfuzzy) Dr. McNinja (http://drmcninja.com/) I don't read daily but I do by the book for Schlock Mercenary (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/) as I don't like waiting for all of the story arc to slowly pan out and prefer to read it in one or two sittings. There are so many out there I gave up trying to read everything or even more then a few. I use to read PvP and Order of the Stick as well but they each got real boring a few years ago (for different reasons).
Dai-Mongar
It must be about time for Oglaf to do another big story arc. I really enjoyed the "Curse of the Funpire". Also, I wear my Oglaf 'sprite t-shirt out in public a lot, and the number of people who recognise it is surprising and a little disturbing.
alchemist
The ones I read regularly are: Sluggy Freelance - I've been following this one for what must be close to 15 years. Might be an intimidating amount of back story if you're starting on it now, but worth getting into if you have enough time available. Freefall - Sci-fi fun. Could perhaps appeal to players of the Traveller RPG. Dork Tower - I imagine many here will already know this one. And yes, I read Oglaf too.
pocketcthulhu
How could I have forgotten Dresden Codak, Hell I got in on the kickstarter to get one of his books printed.
ShadowRaven
Freefall http://freefall.purrsia.com/ff100/fv00001.htm certainly a favorite. Sinfest http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=1 A good story bit of fun, examins a lot about human nature, sexuality, and other things but is not always apropriate, and the last little while has been going into tangent mode. Still quite funny most of the time. Sandra and Woo. http://www.sandraandwoo.com/ Didn't much care for it when it first came out, but after a second reading, I found I liked it much more. From the makers of Sandra and Woo comes Gaia http://www.sandraandwoo.com/gaia/2011/11/01/cover/ A serious more fantasy comic, but still with quite a bit of wit and odd moments of zany Rusty and Co. The adventures of a rust Monster, a Mimic, and a Gelatinous Cube, who want to be the heroes http://rustyandco.com/
