Popular Post malefactus
I've been working on The Project for some time now; inflicting various W.I.P. & finished photos on various & sundry Forums. Now your time has come. To start off, we'll take the Tour of Compo Heep's Mushroom Brew House & Bat Poop Farm coducted by Heep Himself. From a Distance: In the Caves: AND around the exterior: By the Bat Cave: Your kind commentary & critiques would be appreciated. Be warned though, a positive reaction will only encourage me to continue posting. malefactus
Thanks, Grimreaper! I'm glad you liked the stuff & took the time to say so...positive feedback is motivating & addictive. Heep's Place is on the edge of The Spooky Woods (still working on a name). To give you an idea where it fits in, & what's forthcoming: Edited March 3, 2017 by malefactus missing photos

malefactus
Thanks for the kind reply, smokingwreakage! It does have a certain surrealistic, eerie quality to it...it's funny & scary at the same time. At any rate, I'll try to keep you entertained with further posts.
smokingwreckage
The combo of truly whimsical and slightly grotesque reminds me of old books from my childhood.

sentinel
That is really neat! Hey, if you can have "Bat Poop Farm" as a name, I think "Spooky Woods" fits right in. The details like the various notices and painted scary faces really add to it. Nicely done, and keep 'em coming.
malefactus
Thanks for all the kind comments; they are appreciated. The combo of truly whimsical and slightly grotesque reminds me of old books from my childhood. I've had a few Folk comment that they were reminded of the grimmer aspects of the Brothers Grimm. Labyrinth has been mentioned also. There was one reference to Salvador Dali in there. I'll put up some photos of the first of the Spooky Woods boards tomorrow. In the interim here a couple of closeups of the ladder to Heep's Place. Edited March 3, 2017 by malefactus missing photos
Popular Post malefactus
AND as promised or threatened, if you prefer, a view of the Spooky Woods, Part I: The Woods in the Distance: A Long & Winding Road: Some Closeups: I hope you enjoyed the trip through the Woods. As always, your kind comments would be most welcome...mostly. Edited March 3, 2017 by malefactus missing photos
Popular Post malefactus
While I'm at it... While I had hoped eventually to use the boards for gaming, with or without an opponent, in the interim they do make fine backgrounds for miniature photos & an occasional story: The Hunters entering The Woods (name forthcoming): Zooming In: Bringing up the rear has dangers all its own: Last seen leaving the road...ever: Once more your kind comments are requested...kind of.
