The Last Hurrah Project..Photo Heavy

I've been working on The Project for some time now; inflicting various W.I.P. & finished photos on various & sundry Forums. Now your time has come.

To start off, we'll take the Tour of Compo Heep's Mushroom Brew House & Bat Poop Farm coducted by Heep Himself.

That is really neat! Hey, if you can have "Bat Poop Farm" as a name, I think "Spooky Woods" fits right in. The details like the various notices and painted scary faces really add to it. Nicely done, and keep 'em coming.

The combo of truly whimsical and slightly grotesque reminds me of old books from my childhood.

 

I've had a few Folk comment that they were reminded of the grimmer aspects of the Brothers Grimm. Labyrinth has been mentioned also. There was one reference to Salvador Dali in there.

 

I'll put up some photos of the first of the Spooky Woods boards tomorrow. In the interim here a couple of closeups of the ladder to Heep's Place.

While I had hoped eventually to use the boards for gaming, with or without an opponent, in the interim they do make fine backgrounds for miniature photos & an occasional story:
