Hellcow
I can never get enough of seeing people's wonderful scenery. I completely suck at doing this kind of work so they are like magic to me. I love the details you have put into it and so want to just ogle at these photos for hours.
malefactus
Thanks MUCHO for your VERY kind words, Hellcow! I usually work on the premise that if I can do it anyone can...you never know until you try. Here's a link to my Spooky Woods Photo Bucket Album...it's hard to find without a direct link thanks to P.B. Magnus Mercury
Awesome work, malefactus! The style of your work kind of reminds me of Labyrinth (the movie).
malefactus
Wow. That is all. Thanks, Zeke...I'm glad you like it. Awesome work, malefactus! The style of your work kind of reminds me of Labyrinth (the movie). Thanks for the kind words, Mercury. It's probably all those faces, but quite a few folks have seen the Labyrinth influence...including moi. My friend Fabio actually made Jareth & Hoggle minis for The Project (this is from PhotoBucket: my apologies to anyone who can't see it) I finished painting Hooligan's Brewery & have the remaining buildings underway; SO an update is imminent...consider yourselves warned. malefactus
As threatened, I now present an update of Hooligan's Brewer for your edification...or something like that. I had hoped to post after the last shack was finished, but when the last shack became two six shack complexes, I figured I better post what I had finished to maintain interest...such as it is. SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO ...Here's an overview with the new W.I.P. Tenements off to the left: Some things have sprung up by The Tree of Woohoo: AND Hooligan's: There you have it. Your kind comments & critiques are once more requested. Edited March 3, 2017 by malefactus missing photos

NomadZeke
I read that as the Tree of Yoohoo...which...while not exactly fitting in this amazing diorama, would be hilarious
LittleBluberry
This is like a storybook coming to life... Beautiful and so very vibrant. Guess I need to add this thread to the master list...
malefactus
I read that as the Tree of Yoohoo...which...while not exactly fitting in this amazing diorama, would be hilarious Thanks for the reply, Zeke! You, my Friend, are a kindred spirit. As I was adding the Mushrooms around The Tree, the Tree of Woe from the first Conan movie came to mind. Looking at it, the name changed to the Tree of Woohoo. I don't take my stuff all that seriously; considering how silly most of it can be, that's a healthy attitude. This is like a storybook coming to life... Beautiful and so very vibrant. Guess I need to add this thread to the master list... Thanks, Bluberry! That was a very kind reply. I would be honored to appear on your master list...if they have a mad man list that would work also.
smokingwreckage
Insane. But in a good way. Is that an Armorcast steam-mushroom there?
malefactus
Thanks, smokingwreakage! My goal in life has been to become a Crazy Old Man; it's good to know I've succeeded. The Mushroom Furnace is indeed an ArmorCast creation as are the soda can storage tanks. I also have their Steam Punk Mushroom Observatory. Since working on the Shanty Town, I've come up with an idea to make a rocky Isle with shacks clinging to the sides & the Observatory on the top...with scenery, one thing does lead to another.
