For wolves, if you search "wolves colours " you will find a lot of colour variations on their fur.

Thanks for the suggestion, Glitter.

Does the Wolf and Shaman have a moon on their base with them?  Or maybe I am merely seeing things...

The Wolf & Shaman are howling at the Moon in harmony. I have thus far drawn a blank on colors.

You could do the Gobbo all in black. The Wolf could be an albino White Wolf.

It would thus be an homage to two different miniature hobby magazine publications:

Black Gobbo and White Wolf Magazine

I think that is a reflection from the florescent lamp I take my photos with or, rather, through.

Now THAT is a FINE idea. The Shaman has a bone vest. The back robes really make it stand out.

Are those two magazines still around? I never can find fantasy mini mags for inspiration.

Both are long gone so it would be a tribute.

White Wolf Magazine morphed over the years into White Wolf Publishing which I think is still a going concern. [?]

Black Gobbo was a snarky, rebellious little counterpoint to White Dwarf. The workshop of games Owned/Owns both titles.

Both are gone, but not forgotten, but could  -in theory- be revived.

Okay, just caught up on the last several months worth of pics. As always so inspiring!! Your use of colors and composition is a delight to the eyes, and occasionally the nagging worry of psychosis and nightmares lurking in the darker corners of the brain...

The dragon with the scarf is so sweet looking. I'd definitely invite him around for a drink.

The frog is adorable.

I'm super looking forward to your take on snails and caterpillars!

How many different photo stages to you have?

Thank you, as always, for the inspiration!

While most Folk say my stuff makes them smile or laugh, there are a few that get nightmares from the stuff. I am happy you enjoy it, Crowley.

Now that I finally used one of the Frogs, I am thinking of adding the others to some of my upcoming bases. The Caterpillars & snails will be fun.

Right now I have five 2' X 2' boards & one 1' X 2' boards that were originally going to be for gaming & are now for photos. Three are for the Witches Isles/Goblin Village, two for Heep's place & adjoining woods,  AND Rapunzel's Twisted Tower. There are five photo stages: Greyscale Cavern,  The Mushroom Forest, The Spooky Woods, The Twisted Tower (which is still in black & white, but will hopefully get some color this Fall), AND The Urban Blight stage. I am planning another, more elaborate cavern stage as well.

You are welcome...thanks for the morale boosting reply.

After the long haul into distant Temple for a couple of pre-surgery CT scans & an x-ray on Wednesday, I have been moving slowly along on things. The new cochlear implant gets implanted on September first.

I did some basing of two large Reaper Ladies (the Efreeti got a comfy, sensible shoe rework f her beasty feet):

AND a Rebel Miniatures Dark Hold Wizard:

PLUS a Stone Haven Troll Babe is back in the painting line up:

My florescent photo lamp is acting strange; ergo, I will be playing around with different light setting for the Camera of Continual Contrariness.

Great stuff!

I like the look of that wizard, he looks like a cackling maniac throwing spells around whenever he feels like it.

Most of his spells are not that dangerous though, the effects usually wear off in a few hours.

Imagine him walking through the nearby village to get his groceries, mumbling and talking to himself, seeing things that are not there.

And then "POOF" he threw a spell and one of the villagers is transformed into a donkey.

A few hours later, a confused villager stands around with  a bunch of hay in his mouth.

What just happened?

...he reminds me of the crazy Wizard from Monty Python's Holy Grail.

I am happy you like the Gang. Glitter.

I have been knocking out a bunch of less personable, background mushrooms of various sizes. With some of the left over Green Stuff I made a small, but personable Mushroom Fellow:

Seen here with some of the other new Mushrooms for a size comparison:

More later...perhaps.
