I came across this the other day, and I can't begin to express how excited I am for this.

A line of 54mm minis modeled after the art of Andrew Bawidamann. Set to launch in the next few weeks.

They're looking nice but they're not for me.

 

It's weird, I'm crazy for Kingom Death pin-ups, but from anywhere else and suddenly they're not my thing.

I'm not personally taken with the current designs but I'll have a look at what else comes up during the project.

for 54mm the faces are really poor, otherwise they have potential, I do wish people would just show 3-ups or greens though instead of renders.

Neither of those exist with digital sculpting though. The render is 3D printed to produce a master. As these are WIP they won't have had masters produced yet.

Bawidamann reigns. Sadly, I don't have the scratch to throw at another KS now. Or for the foreseeable future. I wish them luck, though, and it's awesome to think that those awesome paintings will be made in 3DD.

Exactly my thoughts, and why I am eager to back them. I pulled my funding from Relic Knights, or else I would have had a hard time getting funds for this.

 

And they will be cast in resin. So I'm a little leery of how expensive they will be.

I feel Bawidamann's work has a certain elegant simplicity that may not translate well to miniatures, so it will be interesting to see how well they can pull that off. Of the WIPs so far, Death From Above looks most promising imo.
