Doug Sundseth
Buglips is right that hyperbolic screaming about Reaper is both not useful and tiring. But responses of the form, "Suck it up, dude. There was this thread on facebook that explained why 7 weeks ago. How could you possibly have a problem with that?!!!" are really no better. The delays in fulfillment are both annoying and understandable. And Reaper's communication with backers was only good early on. Yelling about frustration, either with fulfillment speed and communication or with people yelling about fulfillment speed and communication, is tedious. Feel free to yell about this post, because that would be meta-meta, and therefore ... wait, no, that would be tedious too.
buglips*the*goblin
It's turtles complaints all the way down!
ShadowRaven
I can almost see where some of the people are coming from. For the people who do not follow Reaper on here, or facebook, communication has been a little disjointed. Still, the overblown complaints, the threats of demanding refund, all of that has gone on much too far, and leaves me shaking my head. A couple of times I have tried to insert some sense of calm and rationality into things, but sometimes it's as if being calm and rational is the same as spraying the flames with vaporized gasoline.
AnneO'Leary
It's Reaper, they're reliable, they have integrity and they'll deliver. And how many people actually start painting their new stuff the minute it comes in? Not many. We add it to the lead pile and get around to painting it a year later.
MonkeySloth
I think my attitude towards all this stems from having worked retail and hospitality for many, many years, so I understand that some things are out of people's control. It also taught me how to treat people as I knew how I liked being treated. With kickstarters people are finally being exposed to how things are actually made and it's never, ever as simple as a person thinks. A lot of people still have no separation between "pre-order" and "this hasn't even gone into production yet" as they assume if there's a green\gray\red then it's ready for production and there should be no delay--which isn't true as there are processes that take time and spinning hundreds of a single mini can take weeks. Reaper is in a hard position because they're waiting, and they did screw up the last big communication (which Bryan copped to) and so I'm sure there's people who feel Reaper's still holding back. But they've posted, in reply to others, the status of the containers (all are in the water) so there's really nothing else to say and I don't think people quite grasp that. aku-chan
I just ignore the negativity, It's far too common these days for people to throw a major wobbly when things don't go their way.
buglips*the*goblin
A major wobbly. I like that.

SaintRigger
If the shipping container gets swept overboard - at least the bones can be used for research in tracking ocean currents and stuff.
Goblyn
I have offered on numerous occasions to buy out someone's pledge (not more than they paid for it though) and been rebuked every time. i wonder why they dont want to sell you a package that you cant get at that price anymore and is selling at double in ebay
Loim
The sad thing is, I'm pretty sure that even after all Bones have been shipped for all levels of complexity that people will still complain. On a further note, I've seen several vampire packages on Ebay while browsing for old Grenadier and Parthas, where are people getting the "value of x" from that is over 1k? I'm confused. When they do receive their pledges they are unlikely to be able to sell it on ebay for double. I suspect the market will be swamped. Bruunwald
I agree that people are whiners are should just calm down. And I agree that all the whining is annoying. And I even "liked" Buglips' post. But as to Reaper getting a slight black eye from all of this, I keep hearing Bilbo's words in my head, as he said to Smaug, "Surely you realize your success has brought you some bitter enemies." Huge success creates huge expectations. Spider-Man didn't say that, I did. But it's true.
